Boozer, Cinco de Mayo is not a holiday in MX. It is the anniversary of the "Victory over the French Army by the Mexican Army" at the Battle of Puebla. If you get a chance to go to Puebla you will find out that this is probably the only place in Mexico that celebrates this day. It has turned into the U.S. "Mexican St. Patricks Day". The only people that are really pushing this day are the people that are trying to sell Mexican food and alcohol. Remember that everyday is a holiday if you want to make it one! LLFO S |
