Well, this just wasn't that festive an ocassion in TJ, although the traffic on the freeway down to TJ certainly seemed like holiday traffic. I noticed that the bars seemed a little emptier than usual, and some of the chicas were not around. Maybe the custom is to take this week off to go home, I dunno. The weird sight of the weekend was seeing a cop talking to a chica on the street - in English. The cop was just a regular cop, wearing the white and brown uniform, and the chica was tall, wearing gringa type evening clothes, but they were both Mexicans, and spoke with a light, but noticeable accent. The chica seemed to have track marks on her legs, under her dress. Why they were speaking English was a mystery to me.
