Deluxe rooms are newer and overall more modern, attractive and comfortable than the traditional & executive rooms. Things like TV are more likely to work well...advanced climate control system, better bathrooms and those real luxurious shower stalls that El C refers to.

I was appreciating those when I stayed at the Cascadas one night last week...actually checked out of the VZ intending to leave TJ, but ended up spending another day and staying in the zona. Cascadas room's "showerhead" was a wad of duct tape which had long since lost it's integrity. Good water pressure though...so the water sprayed in 100 different directions (except directly at my body), including over the top of the curtain, creating a river flowing over the tile floored room when I emerged from the shower.

So I can appreciate the amenities of the VZ, but I still think the deluxe rooms are overpriced at $58.
