OK, I actually showed up late Friday, just in time to check in to Cascadas, take a taxi de ruta to the Tierra Virgen massage place, and get a great massage ($25 massage plus 200 peso tip). I took the 5 peso taxi de ruta back to Chaveles, and hung out for a while to watch the variedad. The bar wasn't crowded at all. After about half and hour, I spotted a fake blonde who looked like a newbie, bought her a couple of ficha drinks, and by about 10:30, she asked me up to the hotel. Since my negotiating strategy requires that the chica make the first move on the hotel, my new technique (if I sense a good vibe from the chica) is to let the chica know that I getting ready to leave for my hotel room, but first I am going to pick up a chica to accompany me. This chica basically leaped out of our seat and told me that she was ready and willing to go to the hotel with me (always a good sign), and offered her services for $50. She quickly agreed to 400 pesos, and off we went. I don't think this chica would do the trick for a lot of mongers, she was relatively flat chested, but thin. Her attitude in the cuarto was pretty good, but YMMV on that. At any rate, she did the trick for me, and I quickly zonked out. In the morning, I got my usual coffee at the Tres Garcia restaurant, and drank it standing by the entrance to Cascadas. At that moment, two guys I had never seen before passed by and asked me if I was Explorer. It turns out that this was Tomas and Redongdo, who just figured out that some guy hanging around Cascadas must be me. After a while, Tomas, Redongdo, Lakers and Strikingviking all showed up (Mulelip and Shorts showed up later), and so we had a Gringo Parade down Coahuila Alley, with guys drifting off from time to time to do SGs (with much discussion about - and with - the SGs between encounters). At one point, we ran into yet another guy coming down from the Hotel Coahuila who was complaining that he had gotten ripped off by a chica - she was a fake blond working out of AB named Catalina or something like that (perhaps someone else can specify the chica); she had decided once in the room that his payment of $50 was not enough, or the services requested were too much. At any rate, the guy had decided that this was not going to be a good session, so he left the room, within 5 minutes. I helped him go back up to reception to get a room credit, usable later that day, but his $50 was gone. I went into Chaveles with Redondgo, and we hung out watching the variedades. After a while, I spotted a new mesera who received the Redongdo Seal of Approval, so I began talking to her. Since she also had the Explorer Seal of Approval, I bought her a ficha drink, and began the usual round of questions. She had been in TJ for a year, coming from Mexico City, but had been working in Chaveles for just 3 or 4 days. Redongdo by this time was getting bored, so he split, and the chica took that as a sign to ramp up her activities, and I made the tactical error of asking her to the hotel. She responded that she had never gone to the hotel before, and was basically clueless as to the procedure. I just told her that we should go, she blurted out the standard $50 fee, I responded with 400 pesos, but I would give her a propina. Off we went. The chica didn't seem to know her way around the hotel, but then some of the LC longtime chicas are so ditzy that they get lost in the hotel, too. Come to think of it, sometimes I get confused there, too. So, we made it to the room. Her name was Claudia, and she had a fine body and a cute face. She apparently had a couple of small spots on her face that were self inflicted tattoos. She had the usual story of a hubby who split aftewr she had had a couple of kids. In the room, she was clueless was to do. I basically gave her the Chica 101 course, and she gave it her best shot, telling me I was the most handsome gringo she had ever been with (after telling me earlier that she had never met a gringo). Because of the kids, or I dunno, maybe she was a working girl in the DF, her panocha was really big. This can be a disadvantage, but it has one advantage, in that the chica can lie horizontally after getting in the cowgirl position. This means that you can get chest to chest with them, which can be fun. Later in the day, I hooked up with Lakers and another guy, whos name I can't recall, and we went for pizza and a bank run. Along the way, I introduced the two to licuados, there's a great place next to the Internet cafe on 2nd street. Okay, back to the ZN. Here the three of us tortured the SGs for a while, I translated for Lakers as he attempted to convince the chicas that 100 pesos was a more than adequate fee for their services. Since the SGs were picking up clients like flies, this approach didn't really work. We hung out at a very busy Chaveles for a while, comparing notes on the chicas there, and then split up. I was picked up by Mari, a rather buxom TJ native, and did her before passing out in the room. Early Sunday morning, I had my coffee at Tres Garcias, and hung out again front of Cascadas. Here I got to see a mesero from Miami and a Cascadas hotel employee attempting to set up some drunk gringo as a coyote. Their line was that gringos could get caught a bunch of times trying to smuggle Mexicans in their car. No problem! Later Sunday morning, I had a date with a non-working chica in Colonia Matamoros, and the rest is history. Lesson from the weekend (and believe me, you would agree if you saw me in the flesh), knowing Spanish goes a real long way towards having a good time in the ZN. The best way to learn is to LISTEN to the chicas! And don't forget to use the term "mi vida" when talking to your favorita.
