I don't believe the powers that be in PR are in any hurry to lose their US commonwealth status. Too economically advantageous in the current arrangement. I know lots of PR natives are highly chauvanistic (what natives aren't) and in favor of independence but they are thinking with their hearts, not their heads. Shy Guy
