If they move the action from El Centro CanCun, I'm sure it will present a few problems for any of the chicas that live and work there. If the Zone of Tolerance they are referring to is the same area that you can find Chilly Willy and 21, then it is quite a distance from the Centro Downtown CanCun. A cab ride from the Hotel Zone alone is $35-40 (I think). That IS round trip, if it makes any difference. All of these clubs are so far out (they are on the edge of the jungle highway- 2 lane- that heads West towards Merida and Chichen Itza) that the cabbie waits for you (in a special cabbie waiting area, right inside the club). I believe that the cab fare was round trip. And by the time we were finished, we tipped the guy extra anyway. Speaking from experience, I have been to CW twice. But you do pass the "mall" that has 21 and some other clubs all in one complex. Friends that have been to both CW and the "mall" preferred the mall (mostly for the varied selection of having 3 or 4 diferrent clubs to choose from). Yes, the cab ride is expensive, but so is CanCun. Chilly Willy's is a blast! The main room is set inside a large palapa hut, there are x-videos playing on big screens, a dance stage where the girls do typical strip club moves. The girls wander around the room after their dance and will sit with you if they get the invite. There is an "all-you-can-drink" entry fee. I forget, but it might have been $20 to get in. (So as you tally it up, we're already talking maybe 60 bucks BEFORE getting laid!) The selection of women goes anywhere from 5's to a few 9's and 10's. (Subjective, naturally). When you get ready to make the move to the rooms, you go out in back of the main palapa, pay a dollar for a towel, and you walk through a jungle garden to one of the detached rooms in back. Quite clean. BUt ceiling fans only, NO air conditioning. And the Yucatan gets steamy at night. I enjoyed both trips to this club, but all in all, it's not for anyone on a budget. You can get MUCH more bang for the buck in TJ. But this is the alternative when you're on vacation in CanCun. As for the Downtown action, I went to a club called "Casa Blanca". Very much for the locals. My friend and I were the only Americanos there. But it was more like a TJ club than CW is. They had a "Variedades" show on the stage. A good selection of chicas (maybe 20-25 girls there). But many of the chicas at this club are of Mayan descent, so if that's not your bag, be aware. Some very nice chicas, though. Not a lot of English spoken, but not reallt needed, either. And you can pay a fine to take the girls back to the Hotel Zone. BUt even THAT is a fairly long cab ride. I know this is a TJ board, so apologies for the long CanCun post. RoadHawg
