Most of you gentlemen who have read my observations on
Juarez have heard about the fabled street in the
Old Market Place called DE LA PAZ. It is my favorite
place to check out the street girl population. I noticed in the various clubs that the browner indian
type girls were not in evidence compared to the
lighter colored chicas-in fact on my recent trip to
Juarez I saw only one really brown indian girl at a
second rate club. However on De La Paz as I walked
East away from the Catedral, next to an outstretched
sigh advertising chocolate, were some 8-9 indian
girls, standing outside a doorway to a quarter with
rooms for rent. Some of the girls were dressed in
very colorful dresses, that looked like they could
be indian made and they were all short in stature.
It looks like the indians are discriminated against
in the gentlemens clubs so the indian girls found
their own location. I have not gotten up the nerve
yet to try the arrangement out yet but may be eventually tempted so I can see how the indians are
arranging things.
I looked for the RATTLESNAKE LADY because
I wanted to try some rattlesnake venom for arthritis
but she was not in the marketplace when I visited. I
noticed that you can even buy and activate cells phones
at the OLDMARKETPLACE and that the price for service
and for the phones is alot better than the US.
One vendor had all kinds of birds for sale
and I would have liked to have brought back a parrot
but I didnt think I could get it across the border.
