Kendricks: I do not believe that the concept of "morality" is a valid one (the concept of "right" and "wrong"). Along that line, a long-held belief of mine is that-regardless of its heinousness-a person's actions can always be "validly" justified; you touched on a couple of examples of this. I know it may seem outrageous to the majority of the people (I will probably get flamed for this), but to persons with a high degree of intelligence (which I'm sure you possess)this reasoning is not only possible, but highly probable. An old Indian saying is "walk a mile in a man's mocassins and you won't be so quick to judge", well I go one further "walk a lifetime in them and you will seize to judge". I would like to expound on it further, but for now I'll suffice with this. By the way you mentioned that you were a reformed catholic (ditto for me)....an alter boy to boot!
