Apartment style  

operations are usually in small to medium sized apartments with 3 to 10 girls; usually open around 10 am and close around 7 pm; generally charge about 1 Real per minute (R$20 for 20 minutes, 30 for 30, etc.).

Daytime Bar (Boate) style  

facilities usually have more girls, are in a more commercial building, have you meet the girls in a bar type setting, keep the Apartment style daytime hours and charge in the 1-1.5 Reals (reais) per minute range ($R 20-30 for 20 minutes, etc.) No cover charge.

Nighttime Bar (Boate) style  

operations are usually in commercial buildings and tend to have a larger selection of girls (10+). They usually open sometime in the afternoon (1-5 pm) and will close between 10 pm – 2 am. They will charge a small cover (usually R$ 10), which will include a number of drinks (e.g., 4 beers). The prices for the girls runs in the R$2-3 per min range (R$60-90 for 30 minutes, etc.). Two of these clubs at Praça Maua, Miami and Scandia (ck names), are really Copacabana Style clip joints (al la Doma, Sensua, Frank’s, Barbarela’s, etc.) and are best avoided (sit at the tables on the Praça between the two clubs and you can watch all the girls walking between the clubs checking for clients.)
