I've been wondering -- most gringos go to the Rosa or Revolucion area, and the bars and ladies know that and perhaps gauge their prices accordingly? TJ is such a big city -- about a million I think -- I wonder if there aren't hundreds of pick up clubs in TOTALLY different neighborhoods, with much lower prices, geared mainly to the locals? Anybody have any such lowdowns? M

I see what you're saying about La Mesa and Otay. I may be totally on the wrong track with this thing, but I'm still not sure you get my drift. Okay, the Revolucion area, Zona Rosa, La Mesa and Otay are four. But my point is that TJ is a really big city with lots of neighborhoods. Think about how many strip clubs there are in LA and in how many different neighborhoods. Is TJ zoned so they can only do this business in a few places? If not, there must be dozens of clubs in areas off the beaten path? Those would be frequented mostly by the locals, and perhaps a lot cheaper?

Where are the best places to go in TJ? It has been a few years since I have been. I will probably be heading down during one of the next few weekends. Can you get overnight from the girls there?

IMHO, you can't go wrong going to Adelita Bar(AB)and Chicago Club(CC). But I also think the zona roja isn't large and the all the bars and alley can be cruised quite easily.

I have never done a Toda La Noche(TLN or overnight) but it is possible to find in TJ. Various posts document it. Do a search under TLN and you should find a post(s) that lists pointers and/or chicas who do it.

From the airport you can hitch a ride downtown and from there catch the trolley which would bring you right to the border. I personally would rent a car at the airport and then drive where I wanted to go but i'm not sure of your financial situation. There are also numerous buses, taxis and shuttles that will bring you where you want to go.
I would personally stay at either the motel six or the economy inn in San Ysidro. Rates are cheaper in the winter and during the wk than in summer and on wkends so keep that in mind. I would say your looking at 40 to 50 dollars a night. I've stayed at both numerous times and have never had a problem. Both have a lot of eateries and shops close by as well.
Depending on how comfortable and familiar you are with TJ, there are a number of hotel/motels that I know of and on this site. Personally I never stay at them. I've read to many post and heard to many stories about staff changing rates, credit card fraud, no hot water, AC/Heaters that don't work and not being able to leave shit in your room and take off. You will be able to save a few bucks but I always say you get what you pay for. If you insist on staying in the zona I would read up on some different places and maybe chat with some different members. Someone who knows his shit about everything and everywhere is Milkman but there are some other members who are very informative and helpful. Anyways Jose, have a good trip and be safe.

I've never been to Rio so I can't compare the two. I'm not a big fan of CC or AB, although I will pop in periodically. Some other places worth cking out are Miami/Hong Kong bar, Las chavales and Tropical bar. My personal fav is Las Chavelas located about two doors down from AB.(I think there is a church now that separates the two.) The girls are so so but I really enjoy the atmosphere in this place. I can hang out in here for hrs. There are also two waiters worth mentioning here to. Hugo @ Ricardo are two of the nicest waiters I've ever came across in Tj. Take Care.

I am planning a quickie trip into tj beginning the evening of March 7. Will be in LA on the 7th, will wrap some business and will be hitting the border somewhere between 5 and 8 pm. hahah awesome i finally found some mexico posts that are less than 4 years old!

I just joined about an hour ago, I was hoping to find out more about TJ. I'm navy and have made the trip about 10 times I would say with various bunches of sailors. Had bad trips, had good trips. I speak damn near no spanish at all, but I'm stocky enough I suppose or just lucky and have not been mugged yet( although there was a close encounter with a drunk who punched a couple of my friends). I've had whores all over the world but I swear TJ is the best. Thats why I asked to be stationed here again. Sole reason lol.

I dunno i just love the "yes its horrible and bad ENJOY!" attitude down there. I guess I feel at home around other bastards lol. ok enough rambling. I'm going down there as much as money permits me too. Im pretty careful and I dont get drunk easily and Im pretty good at not being a target. Im working on my spanish as much as time allows.

Thing is man, I have basically been strictly to the $20 street behind adelitas. I wont pick up chicks in the clubs anymore cuz the girls outside are so much cheaper and easier to pick and choose. However the limited time and deadfucks are beginning to annoy me and Im looking for something better. My perfect trip would be get a scroungy to midgrade motel and find some hot lil peice who will let me keep her a good portion of the night at a decent price. Also wondering how many down there will let me snap pics or video.

You might try "Siete de Copas" (Seven of Clubs). Just ask any taxi driver to take you there.

You probably need to have some knowledge of Spanish as it is a mostly locals bar. Prices are similar to AB and CC, for the same quality. However, Mexicans have a different standard for women than do we Gringos. But the place definately does not have a tourist flavor.

so i popped my tj cherry a few weeks ago with some local friends on a guys' night out. we had some fun walking around the area and went to several of the clubs. most of my buddies got their girl at ab, but myself and a few of the guys decided to walk around and found a surprisingly good selection of sg's for much less too. however, i decided that it's best to go in groups as i had an atm scam attempted, TWICE, by the same crew at different atms. yes, yes, i know i shouldve brought cash but it was a last minute decision to go. overall it was fun.

never....just kidding....probably any weekday after midnight till about 4 am. other than that its a crap shoot.

For the regular auto lines, I would recommend just a little earlier than pecs suggested. It seems that they tend to close a lot of the regular car lanes between 11PM and 12:30AM that don't reopen until shortly before sunrise.

So I would recommend trying to get in the auto lanes right about 10PM. But I definitely agree with pecs that it's a crapshoot.

Been to Adelitas a few times.....taxied in taxied out. Looking to expand my horizons in the zone, tour some other bars, the alley, etc. Thurs April 5 to Sat April 7 day or nite, any of those days. Any experienced mongers in the area...let's meet.

Everyone, I plan a "tijuana turnaround" every Sunday leaving from the Huntington Beach area. I can bring 4 people in my truck. It costs me about 30 bucks in gas and $40 bucks in wear and tear on my truck and $10 bucks for parking and $12 for the taxi ride to and from Adelita bar. So if each pays $23 you all can sit back and relax and let me do the driving and cover the taxi's. It's a lot cheaper than doing it yourself and you get to relax.

I go to TJ twice a week during the day. I screw the street girls & avoid the clubs. I can take you to the cutest, very energetic, enthusiastic, young ladies. I enjoy company, so the more the merrier. Adventco, The beer is not free. It's included in the $70. If I spent more than an hour in there with those two sluts, it would've killed me. I'll be turning 63 this Sat. You don't even have to buy me a drink. Come meet us at HK 3pm.

The $70 is precisely for a purchase of a bucket of ficha beers for the chica @ $7 per beer. Conditions are not always as ideal as Earthy is describing. Often depends on the meseros on shift and the willingness of the chicas to be truly left alone or desiring to have the party interrupted with frequency. You should have your own bottle opener or ask the mesero to open all the ficha beers at the start - replace the bottle caps with napkins. That reduces their pretexts to come back in over and over to check the ficha drinking progress.

Earthy, it has to be said that if you tipped a total of $20 for all that service with 2 chicas sharing fichas from 1 cubeta for a full hour, then you are giving us older guys a bad rep. Generally the chicas are more generous and accommodating to older gringos because they expect to get a reasonable tip at the end. Younger guys will more often have to negotiate up front and often pay up front because they aren't as well trusted by the chicas to come across. So if those chicas shared the proceeds as equally as they apparently shared your dick and put out all that tit and pussy, then they each walked away with a grand total of about $22 with the house taking the rest. Definitely a steal for you.

I tried to get all of that VIP info from the waiter. He may have assumed I knew the routine, because I was having him bring numerous girls over to pick from while still downstairs. Sex on premises of a bar is officially illegal in TJ, though enforced selectively and not very frequently. The family that owns HK has enemies who at times bring some heat to their many properties, especially HK.

I'm pretty sure that the mesero assumed you were a newbie - both because of the limited spanish you indicate (though plenty of vets never pick up more than a few words of spanish), but even more by your willingness to have him bring you candidates to select from. Most vets want to conduct their own talent hunt. However, in this instance everything worked for you because your mesero and the chicas he worked with had your best interests in mind and delivered what sounds like a fantastic VIP session. Take good care of that mesero in the future, and make sure he gets your business if he's there. Most of the others are more likely to rip you off if you place trust with them.

Bottom line though is that VIP can be fun, but if you really want to get on and inside a chica, you are going to be better off taking her to the room. More economical because most chicas won't be good with the $20 total tip in the VIP, more private, and no ambiguity about what the hotel room will be used for.
