How right you are! That first trip to AC has ruined my life. Everything has been downhill ever since. Even going down to TJ is a pale comparison to one evening in AC w/ a little brown love machine.

The only warning to the first time is don't fall in love w/ the first (second, or even third) girl you meet. It will happen.

N8Guy, my first trip to AC, I fell for the first gal at the first bar I went to! How easy it is to do that too. The two Aussie guys I was hanging with tried to warn me, saying, "There's plenty of other prettier girls in other bars, you can always come back here." But I refused to continue bar hopping with them. She and I had two good days/nights and then it went sour on the third day.... They were right. Best to be a free spirit in AC or as they say, "Butterfly or if worse, you're known as a Helicopter!" ;-)

Then there's the local American expats that are waiting our arrival: Tagalog Ken, PI Joe, and Howard from Chicago. Goceltics, since Valentine's Day is quite poplular in the PI, you may want to book that romantic room reservation in Boracay Island early. Many Filipinas I've chatted with really want to go there but can't afford it, so you should have one very willing Valentina at your side. While Boracay is building up, it's also kind of going downhill too; it's just getting too crowded. Still quite a romantic destination nevertheless.

Your sim-card may still be good. It's valid up to 4 months after the last time you used it. When you get into town have someone text you. Although your minutes have expired you will still be able to recieve messages (you just can't send them) if the sim-card is still good. Have "M" send you a txt. If you get it you're in good shape. Then all you have to do is get another 300 peso card. See you in a few weeks!
