Prog, Epi, now that you two are leaving AC, I think I'll plan my next trip there. Maybe by January they'll be rested up from Malibog's "thorough" visit (ps MM, I expect some pictures, but now to many thx).

This will be my first trip without the Progman!
mid-late January? Maybe early February, anybody else want to go?

Actually going to be there for at least part of February (also Thailand and Cambodia). I am also trying to bring Mr. X. Perhaps we'll hook up...

I am booked Feb 2-17. I will be in Boracay Feb 12-16 (already have my plane/hotel booked). Looking to take my favorite girl to Thailand or Singapore for 3 nights also.

I hope we can meet up and hang in AC for a change in venue. Enjoyed Epimetheus last trip...He is a movie in the making. I've got to get a camera like his! BB will be there as well. Hoping to bring a newbie or my dad (age 60) along. Let the train continue.....RW

I'll be there the first week of Feb, unless I'm engaged by then. I'd have to cut short on Angeles time and have a hell of a bachalors party!

PLEASE tell me you're NOT marrying that girl from Manila!!

By Progman on Saturday, November 23, 2002 - 03:11 pm:  Edit

Epimetheus,

What's wrong with BBs Manila girl? She rode to the airport with us and she seemed like a good girl. I really don't think she's ever worked the bars and if she did - so what? She seems like she's really in love with BB. In my book BB has yet one more option available to him when he returns.

You spent more time with her then I did. I just watched her stare at a plate full of food while you had more quality time to talk with her. When BB, Manila Girl and I rolled into Camelot it was not the best time/place to chat with her - I was face first into a fun waitress!!

If she received the Progman stamp of approval I will be more then happy to fulfill the duties of best man at the wedding!! You know those bargirls better then I do. Perhaps we should run her past PI J and "the bunny"...

I will argue that there is little difference when considering marrying a bargirl verses non-bar girl. The risk of divorce is high in either case with very little variance between bar verses non-bar. Fact is, bringing a girl to the states and getting married is a risky proposition. Those of you who are considering marrying non bargirls- *beware of raising your expectations just because she is non-bar. Isolate bar verses non-bar only, there is little increase in marriage success rate. One must analyze a myriad of other factors to attempt to increase marriage success rate. On the other hand, psycologically speaking, marrying a non-bar girl may be somewhat easier to be accepting. Few want a girl who many have had. Remember, if it sounds to good to be true-it proabably is! Buyer beware-lots of fools gold everywhere. RW

My 2 centavos worth,,, but with a 50-50 chance of any marriage here in the USA working, and since we all have a past,,, in a way,,a guy has to not really care, or judge her to harshly, on what her past history was if the emotions and what nots are genuine.

Finding out that part ......could well be fools gold....as the old adage goes " fool me once shame on you ...fool me twice shame on me".... morale... go for what you want.... you will be a long time dead.

If it works out{ for whoever, and what} great,, and if not,, we can drink on your { whoevers} luck.

There's a rumor going around that AC has fucked up my life!
2/2-2/9 Angeles
4/27-5/4 Angeles?
6/7-6/15 Angeles?
7/20-7/27 Angeles and try to talk others into a couple of nights in Thailand, or a few.
8/10-8/24 Family stuff, maybe England, and maybe a Costa Rica trip for a few nights, non-family?
10/12-10/19 I'm sure Angeles.
18 days and a wake up!

If I knew of better I'd go! I can spend a week in AC for less than a week in TJ, airfare included, and have a far better time than I ever imagined. I'm running a bit behind in my trip reporting...

Bigballs - The weekend after Easter sounds good. It's been sometime since I've been to TJ. I usually hangout at Chicago but I'm open to other suggestions. AC should be a blast!

Jrsx - I remember my first trip to AC years ago. I went solo. You'll do just fine. Do some research, make some friends with other travellers in the bars, and just enjoy yourself.

Cheers,

Well next weekend is not working out for me for TJ. However, about 12 Las Vegas locals are getting together as well as a couple from out of state. If you can make it fine. I still want to hit TJ, so maybe the following week. Email me if needed.
BTW, Trip plans now are arrive in Angeles late the May 20 hitting Pattaya from the 23-27 returning to AC until June 1. I'm thinking of staying in the Apartelle(sp?) Royal by Camelot in AC.

I plan to experience Manila for the first time for few days before hitting AC.

Firefighter - Beers sound good. I haven't decided where I'm gonna stay yet. Perhaps Orchid or Hana?

Bigballs - Just let me know when you plan to hit TJ. We can share some juicy stories. Apartelle Royal looks interesting. It looked like the $40 room had a mirror on the ceiling? KIT.

My PI trip is from 5/25 - 6/8. How much rain can I expect and what should I bring besides a big, strong umbrella? Thanks in advance.

By Blazers on Thursday, May 01, 2003 - 08:34 pm:  Edit

June has the least amount of rainfall during monsoon season. I want to head to Boracay and Puerta Galera with a Honeyko too. I will see how it goes.

By Progman on Friday, May 02, 2003 - 06:59 am:  Edit

Nabi_asia,

There's rain but Blazers right - it's at the begging of monsoon season. But keep in mind that the Philippines already had a super typhoon just miss them about a week and a half ago. With that being said I will be in the PI May 30 - June 8. I will be in Puerto Galera until June 5 then I will be AC after that. I will be staying in the Orchid Inn and should arrive later in the afternoon. Leave me a note on the marker board by the pool bar.

Besides an umbrella - bring a smile and a party-attitude. You'll be a god. Is this your cherry trip?

Also, there is a party at the Trophy Lounge this weekend (May 3, 2003). It is a get-together of veteran and first-time AC travelers. I will be raffling off 2 barfines and 2 gift certificates. There is no cover charge if you tell the door person you are with the "West Coast Crew". Come on down and learn all about AC...

Party starts at 9:30pm and will move on to Tijuana and finish sometime on Sunday.. :-)
