I will be going to Thailand in Feb or March 03 and am interested in a side trip or 2. I would like to hear about anyone else who will be checking out these places then. I would also welcome any advice not already posted, especially on the first 3 countries where there is much less information than for Cambodia. And yes, I already know Cambodia is the only real 'hot' choice.

I haven't really done much planning for BKK since I'll only be there the evening of the 29th and so far I have been focusing my planning on Cambodia. Dynasty may well be where I might stay though. Haven't decided, but before I leave I'll figure that out and we can meet up for a beer or two. I will make a point of getting back to you before I leave in 3 1/2 weeks.

I'll be in SEA from March 12th through April 1st, so it's definitely possible our paths may cross. I'm hoping to do the three-country-in-three-weeks thing, but I'm not sure yet in what order.

I'm thinking that after I arrive in BKK, I'll stay there for about a day, and either do an overland trip or catch a plane to PP, where I'll stay for a little less than a week. Then I'll head back to BKK, then catch a flight to MNL, where I'll stay for maybe a week. Then I'll spend my last week in Pattaya.

But, like I said, I'm still not sure exactly how I'll do things. All I know is that I arrive in BKK on March 12, and leave BKK on April 1st -- and that I have my plane tickets on hand.

(Decided to fly on Delta's Boeing 777 this time, instead of China Air -- even though I REALLY like China's Airbus 340 airplane)

Never been there before. Price was right at 50 USD RT from BKK...

I just renewed my visa here, so I'll be here for at least 6 more months.
