My trips to CR have been great. And CR is a short 2.5 hour direct flight from Orlando, so it is really just an easy commute for me.

This will be my first trip to the PI and the posts on this site have really raised my expectations. I am really looking forward to the trip!!!

I should be in AC for a week shortly after New Year's. GAWD it will be good to be 'home' again.

Shadow, a very wise (and also thoroughly WHIPPED!!!) man once told me about a plan once concocted that a trip to ANGELES CITY was in order because they were world-renowned for producing high-quality wedding tuxes! BeLIEVE ME, while I can't imagine any greater line of BULLSHIT, there are far worse excuses to spend a day or two (or, in THAT guy's case, TEN DAYS!!!) in IMO the budget mongering capital of the WORLD!!!

Does anyone know if I'm staying at Royal Amsterdam can I use the pool at another hotel? What pools are available?

Kokomoz pool is open to the public from 11-4. Of course "public" includes naked babies who piss all over the place.

Wild Orchid pool has signs posted that p500 (per person) in consumables will get you access to the pool. That's a pretty hefty charge.

I think just about all the perimeter hotels will allow non-guests to use their pool for a nominal fee.

Do you think that Orchid Resort is a better bet just for the pool? Or should I stick with Royal Amstrerdam?

The Orchid's a good hotel option if you can manage to get a room and the price (45 USD) doesn't bother you.

I will be in Makati and AC from Jan 28 to Feb. 3. I'm new to this club but not to the Philippines. I travel to the Phils every month, have done for over 2 years now (27 trips). I know Makati, Malate and AC very well. Even have a bunch of single lady friends in Makati and Dau, if anyone wants to get hooked up with a freebie or have a true GFE (careful, can be a little too true). I speak passable Tagalog so I can sometimes get "local" discounts on drinks, barfines, etc. If anyone will be there and wants to grab beers and wenches with me, drop a line.

Feb 3rd I will be going to China (Xiamen, then possibly Shenzen and Nanning). Never been before, was wondering if anyone here has and could compare it the Philippine scene. Also, does anyone know if the Chinese Embassy in Makati will be open this week and next or closed for Chinese New Year. I need a tourist visa b4 I go to Xiamen so if they're closed, I am fucked in the bad way...

This spring's trip to AC will be February 27th thru March 15th. Old and new pals should get in touch. I hope to have as much fun as I had in Pattaya last fall with James, Charles and Don, (forgot your screen names!) et al. Those were great guys for partying and bar hopping.
