If you've been following the development of our Venues Tool, you might have noticed that we have also started to add links to Google Maps. There are still LOTS of venues to add and lots of links to create, so if you would like to help out, here's how.

1. Go to http://maps.google.com/
2. Find the spot on the map, to make it quicker, you might try typing the name of the venue followed by the city and country (for example: adelita bar, tijuana, mexico). If that doesn't work, try using the street address instead of the name of the venue. If that doesn't work, you can try a nearby landmark if you know it. At least one of these attempts should get you in range, if not at the exact location.
3. Zoom all the way in. The slider underneath the Orange Hombre should be all the way at the top next to the "+" sign.
4. Find the spot as close as you can to the precise location where the venue is located. You might want to switch to "Satellite" view first near the top right corner of the map if that helps. Right-click on the spot and then left-click "What's here?".
5. A set of coordinates will appear in the search box near the top (for example, "32.537726,-117.039497"). Send that information to us using a support request ticket along with the name of the venue.
