Hombre--

Have you given any thought about incorporating additional protection for the browser header while in stealth mode? The stealth header works great when I log in and folks can't really see what I am up to, but when I go through my history log, Club Hombre comes up as a site visited. Any way to fix that so that when a member logs in under stealth mode, the browser history log reflects "Men's Guide to Success and Productivity" rather than Club Hombre? Or is this just impossible?

Thanks for all your hard work!

As long as you log in from https://www.clubhombre.com/stealth than the initial History should reflect as requested. However, I suspect that the browser may be picking up title information from different pages all around the site and storing those. Adding a duplicate version for every page, or even just changing each page, would be virtually impossible and we would likely miss pages as well.

The best and safer bet is to get into the habit of clearing the history.

Thanks Hombre--

I have my history set at 0 days retention. My problems don't arise unless someone else decides to use my computer and check where I've been prior to the history being scrubbed.

I had thought there might be a way to address the issue, but I appreciate your response!

It would not be difficult to buy another, equivalent domain like abcdefg.com or christianvirtues.com and just set it to be equivalent to ClubHombre.com, except for a different, inconspicuous first page and login page

Of course, depending on the sites actual setup and the security measures, this might be difficult. If the site is set up only with relative links, then there would be no problem .....

I have to agree the stealthmode is great, but the name on the address page blows the cover.

Brazil Specialist has a good idea -- a confidential entrance to the site.

I think BS's suggestion is a good one.

BS does have a good idea, but please!!! not "ChristianVirtues.com." I'd rather be seen logging on to www.pussymaniac.com than that!

A discrete login page would be an excellent addition to this site. Something travel related, even "FrequentFuckingMiles.com" would be fine.

Pendejo,

Set up another user account on your computer. Label it "Test" or something like that, and password protect it. If anybody asks, you are just trying to build a new website or other project, and do not want it disturbed or any of the files deleted.

When you log on to that account, none of the websites or favorites that you use show up on the other accounts. When you copy something, it will not transfer to the other accounts.

Be very careful though, if the doorbell rings, or you have to get up and leave your computer, just log on to your main account. That way if someone uses your computer in your absence, they will not see anythng that you have been doing, and your work will be there when you return and log back in.

Thanks for the advice. That should solve the problem for me, but the question still remains--is it possible to prevent the header from popping up in the history? Hombre addressed the matter to my satisfaction some time ago. But, in lieu of utilizing your suggestion, I simply delete the ClubHombre history manually as soon as I leave the site, and scrub the computer with MRU-Blaster.

It's a pain in the ass, but at least it gives me some level of comfort.

Hombre, any update on having an alternate web address as suggested by BS? I think it would be a great idea to have something like travelaroundtheworld.com with a blank first page with login. what do you think? can this happen? Thanks, AZ

My suspicion and BS' disclaimer were correct, the Discus software writes absolute links, not relative links, so there is no virtually no way to prevent the clubhombre.com pages from appearing in the history. The better and more thorough solution is to clear the history manually, a simple task for recent versions of IE and Firefox. An alternative solution is to use a software solution to clear browsing history and other computer use.
