Due to a much busier schedule this year the delay has been much longer than usual, but it's finally here!

The nomination list for the 2006 Annual Hombre Awards is now available. Click the link to view the preliminary nominations. We'll accept additions/subtractions/changes to the nominations through June 15, 2006. Generating the first round of nominations was a significantly time-consuming effort, so please don't be offended if we missed a report or photo that you believe should have made the list. With as many reports and photos we receive, there are sure to be additional deserving entries out there, so nominate them now. Keep in mind that we accept self-nominations and that entries are limited to one per member per category.

More of the competitions are running late but will be coming soon (Jan, Feb, Mar, Q1, Apr, May). Please support the reporters and photograpers with your votes.

Guess I am getting penalized for my decision to not post reports any more and convincing other vets to do the same.

Secondly, should reports get nominated when there are absolutely no photos attached?

Figuring out how the Asia preliminary list was determined is really fairly simple. Every single one was a competition winner for a month in 2006. Sorry, no conspiracy here.

Why not? Who said photos were a requirement for a good report?

Well one of the reports was all of about 6 separate paragraphs and no photos...that's all.

Me thinks a report does not necessitate photos to be informative, fun and useful.
