I just saw this article where this guy was caught up in some kind of journalists sting. This journalist, John Keatley, has a website and you can find it by Google. Dont post a link to his website here because then he can follow you back to this site.
Basically, he was running around taking pictures of guys at bars and posting them to his blog with his own personal opinion which doesnt reflect true fact.

Keatley's blog about Angeles City being the center of human trafficing is downright wrong. I would compare Angeles more to the seedier parts of Las Vegas then anything else. The women are in Angeles selling themselves voluntarily and of their own accord. No one kidnapped or forced them to be there. The bars are comparable to cheap low end versions of the brothels they have in Nevada.
The Filipinos have done very well in regulating and controlling prostitution. Instead of taking the stance of outlawing it all together, they have placed it all into a few areas where they can control it. The women are all inspected and certified by the government and they all wear these identification tags stating their age. None of the hotels would let you in with an underage woman. The women leave their identification at the desk at all of the hotels I have been to.
In comparison, prostitution is out of control in the United States and most certainly no women here are certified or inspected. I was sitting at a bar here the other day when a prostitute came up to me...right here in the United States. So the Filipinos have done well in controlling a profession which is out of control.

Ahhh, now Portege is an expert on human trafficking, prostitution regulations, etc. His arrogance knows no bounds.

Don't limit it to just the British; the media has become irresponsible everywhere.

Im not an expert and have no idea what anyone defines as "human trafficking", however, I do know the only thing I saw in Angeles City during my many visits was good old fashioned prostitution between two consenting adults. Certainly, no one was there against their will, kidnapped or forced to do anything. There was no one under 18 that I saw. In fact, many of the women lied about their age saying they were in their 20s when they were really in their 30s.
I remember there was one American bar owner arrested because there was an underaged woman who he employed by mistake. The underaged woman had provided fake paperwork and the bar owner was fooled. Unfortunately, the Filipino justice system isnt as just as here in America. The last time I heard he was still in jail...still in jail after 2 years awaiting trial. So they do crack down on these things and its not tolerated even if one of the ladies fools you with fake paperwork.

"Unfortunately, the Filipino justice system isnt as just as here in America."
Portege, what the fuck are you talking about? Kiddy porn on you computer gets 20 years to life in the USA even when you had no role in producing it and lets not forget the totally archaic drug prohibitions that divert your tax dollars to the the private prison industry.
The land of the free? Maybe in Ron Paul's delusion.
