Does anybody here purchase trip insurance for their travels? I'm thinking about doing so, but was wondering if anybody has had any good or bad experiences.
www.insuremytrip.com offers side-by-side comparisons of dozens of trip insurance providers. I'm unsure as to how these insurance plans work. For instance, if I get a broken leg in Cambodia, does the medical evacuation portion of the insurance pay UP FRONT, or do I pay first and get reimbursed later?
Does anybody have any insurance provider recommendations?

Guzybear,
Travel insurance is a pretty good deal. You're buying a cheap buffer against catastrophic problems that can be very costly. If you're, say, 40 years old, a 2-week policy will set you back between $40 and $80. There's added benefit for trip cancellation or delay, baggage delay or loss, car rental CDW, and even carrier failure on some policies (no small concern with USAir, United and Delta teetering and NorthWest and American struggling.)
Since each insurer has different terms, I suggest you speak to a broker who specializes in travel insurance. From personal experience, I can recommend TripInsuranceStore.com - they offer plenty of personal attention, and have the experience to answer your questions - 888-407-3854 (US & Canada) or 507-214-3854.
I recently used them to insure 9 people, ages 6 to 77, for a trip abroad. The agents helped select different plans tailored to individual needs (pre-existing conditions, kids included in parents' policy, car rental CDW coverage etc.)
