This is a fascinating inquiry Philliped. I've often thought and dreamed about this myself lately, but I'm at least 20 years from retiring unless I hit the tort lottery sometime soon.

One thing you may consider after reading this is that I've looked at relocating to a comfy homebase such as Guam, Saipan or Honolulu (where I lived for several years in the past) with all the creature comforts of the States and just a few hours from all my favorite destinations. All expensive, but the pay is generally higher than the mainland to offset this. In fact, any of the locales below could be your homebase as well.

Based on your wish list, which mirrors mine, here's my opinion based on my travels and experiences, in order of preference.

(1) Pattaya/Jomtien Beach Thailand. Next to the Beach with tons of water sports and beautiful scenery, great infrastructure, cheap, quality pussy in unlimited supplies, relatively low cost of housing, lots of expats to hang with, etc. Stable government and economy. DRAWBACK: language issue, very popular and crowded (especially after the Tsunami), baht is getting stronger to the dollar, messed up cops and gov't bureacracy, some civil unrest in the South.

(2) Sihaunokeville Cambodia. Some of the most stunning and most untouched beaches I've come across, cheap as hell for everything, plenty of cheap girls (LT for $20!), some nicer hotels. DRAWBACK: language, some areas at night are prone to crime (not terrible), poor infrastructure (although it's improving) and corruption, there's been a crackdown on some of the major Vietnamese houses lately so the girlie situation is unstable. Some expats, but not as many, so I can see going stir crazy after bonking gals non-stop for a year or two.

(3) Cartegena Colombia. Yes, it's not as dangerous as you might think, although other areas of Colombia are. A stunning city by the beach with beautiful, old-world, and historic artichecture. Lots of beautiful girls all over the places, working and non-working, decent beaches, festive atmosphere, low cost of living. Great casinos. DRAWBACK: Outside the relatively smaller tourist area and the historic old town, the city is kind of lacking in many ways, speaking Spanish will be a great plus and it's probably easier to become fluent in Spanish than Khmer or Thai.

(4) PANAMA CITY, PANAMA: I actually thought the standard of living in Panama was one of the best and highest in Central/South America. Many parts of the city is well developed (you may even think you're in a major U.S. City), lots of places for cultural things and shopping, and the infrastructure is very good. Stable government and economy and little crime. DRAWBACK: Cost for everything (dollar based) is very expensive here, including the girls, which will set you back about $100 ST.

(5) Macau, China. The City by the Bay is one of the prettiest and cleanest cities I've seen in Asia, or anywhere for that matter. Lots of Portuguese influence in the architecture, signs, and the mixed blood people. Lots of great casinos, and even more going in (Sands, Wynn, etc). Thriving economy, lots of jobs (maybe at an American casino), and zero crime unless you pick a fight with the Chinese triads that control the prostitution. Plus, Hong Kong is just a ferry boat away. DRAWBACK: very tourist, expensive (girls are $60 ST and massages are $140 or more). Language difficulties. Cost of living is high.

None of the major p4p destinations I'd want to live in. I thought RIO was a beautiful and festive city, but the crime and economic disparity of the haves and have-nots concerns me. Bangkok is way to crowded for my tastes and traffic is unbearable.
