Salvador has Brasilieras, for one thing. The Real is not trading favorably, but the garotas there are a lot cheaper than in Rio. Perhaps harder to find the freelancers, altho the newspaper has plenty of ads (sans pictures). Clubs are not cheap and may have the usual hardened pros. You will need to speak Portuguese. I plan to go back, I liked it a lot.

I was staying with a married friend in Lima, he didn't think there was much of a scene there except possibly expensive gentlemens' clubs (but what would he know?). I didn't get to check it out, but I didn't see very many attractive girls anywhere.

Personally, it really depends on what your preferences are. I disagree, I have seen many beautiful ladies in Lima. But I am attracted to that general look for latin gals. Plus I speak some Spanish and zero Portugese so for me the coice is simple.

Bottom line is do some research in the trip reports section. The gentlemens clubs in Lima can indeed be very expensive by South American standards. But other options abound for much better prices.

I am going to do the Banos Turcos scene in a few weeks in Lima. Plus a few freelancers as well. I'll post a full report afterwards. Good luck, and have fun wherever you go!

I will skip the speech about how we write all these reports and then people ask questions that were already covered, especially since you have written some great ones yourself.

Banos Turcos are -- for lack of a better term -- spas with Saunas, steam rooms, nice facilities and, in most cases, full-service massage options.

They're pretty awesome. Vlad covers many of them in his Peru guide. I chirp in with a few as well in my reports, if you can get past how wordy I am.

And FWIW, there are plenty of options other than the Gentlemen's clubs, although the concentration of stunners at the clubs is impressive.

I think I visited Peru before I joined CH, so I didn't have the benefit of research, I just knew about Brasil and thought something should be available in Lima. But I didn't know how or where to look.

Before I visit Lima the next time, I will make sure I research my options on this site--it is an invaluable guide for me. But I haven't had much time to read reports on destinations that are not on my near-term horizon, or written by personal friends. My apologies for asking answered-elsewhere questions (at least I'm not asking where I should go and what I should do).

Banos Turcos in Lima... stay in the Miraflores area for any average "massage" i went to a bano turco in Surco and all she gave me was a massage and a handjob. safe place, it has guards... you have to wait for the girl to tell you that she's very "open-minded"
