FYI for you centrally located guys: two airlines, Taiwan based China Airlines and Monterrey, Mexico based Aviacsa are halting passenger service to IAH(Houston) late this month. Supposedly the result of higher fuel costs. With the possibility of even higher fuel costs on the horizon this could be a sign of things to come[?]. However, Singapore Airlines is starting service in March between Singapore and Houston. Also, due to the FAA and ATC dealing with the congestion in the New York areas, I would look to see some of the Regional Jets be pulled and replaced with mainline aircraft [larger jets] in order to reduce # of flts yet still handle the loads. Some of those markets should have never been reduced to RJ's in the first place!
