I have a block of four or five days to get away week after next (Nov 18-23) leaving from Minnesota. I'm looking for a mongering destination that won't cost an arm and a leg, GFE, of course eager gorgeous girls, and not a tourist trap. I speak very little Spanish (or Portuguese) and will probably fly solo. I've had quite of bit of experience in Asia, but nothing in this hemisphere.

I have spent quite a bit of time sifting through trip reports and postings here. I would love to go to Rio but I can't get a visa in time. Lima seems interesting but didn't sound like very many decent girls, DR sounded a little too much 3rd world and I don't like being hassled, CR girls seem jaded, Medellin might be great, but seems pretty dicey to a non-Spanish speaker not to mention safety issues (maybe I'm wrong).

Anyways, all of this is spinning in my head and I don't have a lot of time to decide. Any pearls of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Fethard, Cartagena would fit your requirements. Fly thru Miami would be an easy flight from the twin cities. Many Americans live there. Not many of the girls do, but enough. You'll get the whole experence there. The exchange makes it affordable.

Bluelight, Thanks!! In the interim I pretty much committed to Lima since I could use frequent flier miles and I was able connect with a long-lost internet chat friend whom I'd like to meet. However, Cartagena sounds great and I will try to get there soon.
