Carrer d'Aribau 240
between Avinguda Diagonal and Travessera de Gracia
Metro Stop: Diagonal
Mon-Sun 7pm-4:30am
How To Get There By Metro/Train:
Take Metro Line L3 or L5 to the Diagonal Stop.
The exit will depend on which line you took. Follow signs or the station map to bring you closest to Avinguda Diagonal.
Cross Avinguda Diagonal and walk in the direction so that building numbers are increasing. You should be on the same side and pass a McDonalds.
You'll need to continue past approximately 5 streets, the last 3 being Augusta, Balmes, and d'Alfons XII before turning right on Carrer d'Aribau.
Pub 240 will be near the end of the block on the right after passing New Aribau.
What To Expect:
There will be one or more doormen at the entrance. They'll bring you to the nearby register to pay a 20 euro cover charge to enter.
The ticket the doorman gives you is good for a drink at the bar. There is no need to tip for this drink.
You'll be eyed by the working ladies upon entering the bar. Expect to be approached soon after sitting down. Others will try their luck if you decline the first, second, etc...
There were 5 available when I visited on a Monday night.
Buying a working lady a drink costs 50 euros, ouch.
I was quoted 200 euros for a session in the room, I think it was for 30 minutes, but I'm not sure, I didn't bite.
New Aribau (Mon-Sun 7pm-5am) is just down the block if you want to see more options. In the other direction, Club Breston (Mon-Sat 5pm-4am, Sun 7pm) is about 3 blocks and Top Damas (10:30am - 5am Mon-Sat) and La Vie en Rose (24/7) are about 8 and 11 blocks respectively.
Diamond, Divas, Sauna Lys, Sauna Regards, and Sauna Yuma are also close, but I have no info on them.
Additional Comments:
I saw two working ladies I was very interested in here, one who came outside while I was walking by Friday night, and a Silvia Saint look-alike in the bar on Monday night. The pricing of 200 euros onsite is out of line, though. I was quoted the same price in June 2010, but managed to session for only 100 euros by going back to her place. I'm not sure how that worked, but it's probably not typical. Despite being a little older and a little heavier, of all the working ladies I saw, I'm still thinking about the missed opportunity with Silvia. That said, Pub 240 will be towards the bottom of the list when I return to Barcelona. I probably won't make it back unless I stay longer than a week (unless I decide to look for Silvia)...
