I think I've heard everything today. A friend from NYC called me today and said he and some friends are flying to Iceland this weekend to do some mongering. Now I've never even thought of Iceland as a mongering haven - but he tells me its the best. anyone ever done this?

Don't even THINK about mongering in South Africa or other African countries. The AIDS percentages are stratospheric, and seem to pass heterosexually. In my own opinion, this is why the whites peacefully turned over power in South Africa. In a generation or two, they are going to be in a majority.

Thursday, 11 September 03 – Reykjavik, Iceland

After dinner, I asked one of the guys if he wanted to go into town. We wanted to scout the local scene a bit. The first place we went was an erotic club called Club Óđal, Austurstraeti 12 at corner of Posthusstraeti, +354-562-3570, odal@simnet.is. No cover charge if you tell the bouncers you’re staying at a local hotel, ask for a Priority Pass on the way out (free drink and entrance).

On going upstairs, two girls immediately came up to us and found seats with us. They worked on getting us to buy them “lady drinks” – the cheapest of which was 2900 (about $36, small bottle of champagne). My friend was talking to his girl for awhile but did not buy her a drink. She talked about various services – I think explicitly – and the prices.
I bought a drink for my girl, a pretty blonde lady with a great figure in tight white jeans. She stuck around a little longer and made small talk. I asked where she was from – Slovakia, just visiting. I told her I was going to Prague in a month and she said I could come visit her – only 3 hours by train. I figure I don’t have to take a train to get companionship in that part of the world.

She kissed me some, had her hands on me (but not in any critical areas), let me touch her (but not critical areas, though I didn’t really try it did not seem likely). She talked about the rooms upstairs and how we could go there for 30 minutes and have a “really sweet time” for 25000 ($312.50). I didn’t seem to go for that so she offered fifteen minutes for 11000 ($137.50). I asked if she might entertain me the next afternoon at my hotel (Steve Naive is my name) and she said that after we spent time in the room upstairs anything would be possible.

These prices seem very high even for Europe. I wasn't convinced that I would get more than a "private dance". If I had gone low-budget and taken her for 15 minutes, I doubt I would have gotten more than strong desire and encouragement to spend more. I might have been able to get her for a half hour at 20000 ($250) or less, but because it wasn’t clear that sex was available in the room after paying, I said no thanks, and she took off (drink unfinished) shortly after. My friend got the same menu with less chat without buying the expensive lady drink.

There was a pole for dancing, and now and then a lady did come out to entertain, but not as often as I would hope (ok, I'm very spoiled by Bangkok's Nana Plaza).

We hit a few more clubs. Pretty dead, the few pairs of girls we saw made no eye contact, too busy talking between them, probably not looking. My friend said there was a carload of four girls, not great looking and a bit chubby, but smiling at him – I missed seeing them.

So nothing much doing on a Thursday night between 2100-2300.

Although I was not there, I heard that after midnight on Saturday the nightlife was much better. Lots of local women (non-professional), and my friend did a lot of dancing but did not bring anyone back.

Last, if you search Google for "Reykjavik Escort" you'll get some hits, mainly sites which come up for any location you type in and have astronomical prices. Perhaps the locals have other avenues to pursue...

I spent a week there back in 2000 and frequented Club Odal. None of the girls are from Iceland that work there (a mix of western/eastern europe and the states). The prices are crazy... I dropped an average of 1-1.5k a night over a 3-4 day span. I had a blast, but the tech boom is long gone and so is my Icelandic partying days.

Local chicks are friendly and somewhat easy to pick up if you can dance, dress nice, and are halfway decent looking. I should probably add somewhat young also (under 35). The local chicks are mostly college gals.

I was in Iceland in 2000. It is one of the most beautiful countries in the world in the summer time. If serenity in a fabulously beautiful place is what you are looking for by all means do Iceland in July or August. If you want to be truly unnearved by looking at, per country per capita the most beautiful teenage and young caucasian girls in the world (before they become broad in the beam-an icelandic heriditary trait) go to Iceland. BTY, that's looking at the teenagers, not touching, don't mess with jail bait, go to Iceland. If you want to monger DO NOT go to Iceland. Simply vacationing there is not cheap and to get laid is as in more than London prices.

Its not a mongering place, every striper you find there is foreign and the price is awful for stripteases.

But on the site note there are TONS of non pro blonde beauties downtown late friday and saturday nights.. also downtown is full of clubs.

Iceland can be great to go to. If you stop there then the Blue lagoon is a must, its a natural hot spring with white mud. http://www.bluelagoon.com/

Its good to have nice budget if you decide to spend some time in Iceland, its not the cheapest place around..

My ol' pal Larryb3 told me that Iceland is the place to go before you before you hit forty. Too late for me, but he assures me that a decent looking guy in reasonable shape has as much chance of scoring with the Icelandic babes as a bible thumper getting a tad upset in Nana Plaza, Bangkok.

Well most of the clubs in Iceland are located in a fairly small area downtown of reykjavik, same goes for many of the hotels there.

Beer goes for like 7-8$ at the pups and sometimes the entry fee is like 13$.

Goldfinger: Strip club in the reykjavik are, usually pretty girls and is open to like 6am on weekends.

Bohem: Strip club in reykjavik, open late and usually has afew nice girls.

Óđal: Downtown strip club, I personally like bohem better because its more calm.

There might be others, but they come and go. One thing all those clubs have in common is that they are damm expensive, you might need to pay the strippers 300$+ for a fuck and its against the club policy. They are used to scamming heaps of $$$ out of some lonely sailors and give little in return. But if you have money and happen to be in Iceland on business or something and dont mind spending the $$ those are the places you should visit.

For the non pro hunters, downtown can be awsome. Icelandic girls like guys that arent shy, black or white you can all get some action if you are rather young, decent looking and charming. But dont expect them to come rushing to you, you might need to start the conversation and see where it leads. 90% of them speak english and 95-99% understand it. Sex on the first date is more common the sex on second or third date. So if the girl digs your in luck.

Most of the night clubs are located in a small area and I recomend bar hoping, only taxi you should need is downtown reykjavik. You will see what I mean when you arrive there.

Girls here are in love with fashion and usually spend their money. Many blond hotties and browned haired beauties aswell.. very few latinas.

There are some clubs open on Thurdays but most of the action is on friday and especially saturday nights.

Getting mugged in Iceland is almost unheard of and you can trust all the taxi drivers there. But some guys here like fist fights, so if anyone has some attitude towards you, ignore them and you should be ok.
