For those on this list who like the scene in Adelita Bar, one of the larger sex clubs in Rotterdam could be to your liking: Club OQ, located at s-Gravendijkwal 115 (at the corner of Niuwebinnenweg and s-Gravendijkwal) in Rotterdam. Admission is 25 guilders for three drink tickets until 7 PM, when the entrance fee goes up to 50 guilders for 5 drink tickets. (Yes, if you get there at 6:30 you can still pay the 25 guilder price.) It opens at 2 PM Monday through Friday, and closes between 1 and 3 AM It is a topless club – when you enter the main club room after paying your entrance fee and getting the drink tickets, it is like entering a candy shop – standing and sitting in front of you are at least a dozen beautiful women half nude, laughing, joking, and waiting to have sex! Fees are 165 guilders of a half-hour and 320 guilders for a full hour in a room with a hot tub. It also has a nice snack bar.

One time in the OQ I meet a Dutch guy in his 30’s who was there with his father. They were successful dairy farmers, and the father was transferring title of the farm to the son. Rather than pay taxes on their cash balances, they had booked a room at the OQ for a week, and were living there, spending what was at that time about $10,000 on girls, drinks, and food. Every few hours one or the other of them would come down, have a few brandies, pick up a girl or two, and go upstairs.

I went by Club OQ on a recent trip to Amsterdam around 7 in the evenng on a Tuesday night. I was told that there were no girls - that even the club is open, they usually are not showing up until around 9 PM at night. I decided to take a stroll and visit some private houses in the area.
