This is the topic for reports on the Safari Lodge club.

THE place to go in Moscow, if you would like to go to a club that looked like a Roman orgy in process. Everyone on couches surrounding a dance floor small enough that only 2 or 3 blonde beauties can dance on without running into each other, which they do anyway.

Girls are $50 an hour, the room charge - which includes a sauna and a large bed - is $30. This is what the Revo clubs should be.

The girls are extraordinarily hot, La Perlita would starve there from lack of work.

What about language? Do they speak English?

About half the girls speak English at the same level as your standard AB chica (except they don't say 'sucky fucky'). I was speaking in Russian as part of my attempt to learn the language.

Didn't even attempt to learn Uzbek with my Uzbek friend, that language is related to Mongolian.

I found Russian easier than Thai. I gave up on Thai. I (attempt to) speak both less-than-well, but I could probably get by. I have done three Russian girls in BKK, and really like them. I guess I'm looking for an excuse to pay the higher rates of Russia instead of the 3000 LT for Russians in BKK.

I cannot stress enough that the girls in Moscow are thin, compared with the stories about plump Russians at the Grace hotel, where the clients want plump.

I went three times and took girls twice. Both were excellent. Got the knock on the door about 45 minutes into one session. Otherwise, low hassle and some good looking girls.

For me this is the best place in Moscow for sex. The dancers are beautiful and friendly. They seemed to be satisfied with my tips of 100 rubles although I believe there were other guys tipping more. I met a pretty non-dancing girl named Natasha and took her to the room. Just as uwphoto said I paid 1000 rubles to the house and 70 dollars to the girl for a good session. I also noticed another room adjcent to the one where I watched the dancers which was crouded with men I think getting private shows from the dancers but none of the dancers offered me one of these. I was a little puzzled by this. Great place.

The private room is, indeed, a private room. Usually, the dancers will hound you to go there. I have seen people drop $50 for a single dance in that room.

Its still going strong, although they charged me 500 rubles to get in.

Safari is the club that answers the question: "Is it possible to have too many lap dances?"

One note, a lot of the girls have really small chests, I get the impression that someone in management really loves the French style of really, really thin chicas. The problem also exists that the girls are very eager to provide 100 ruble lap dances, but sometimes the strip shows are really, really interesting, like last night watching two girls dancing in the same thing, face to face. I had some girl in my lap at the time, and her delectable butt was in between me and the strippers most of their dance.

One more note, the Uzbek girl I did last time, in honor of her nation's providing support for US troops, was back, and while talking to her I realized that her accent (in Russian and English) and mannerisms were almost identical to a chica from Chiapas that I did last year in Chaveles. Very odd, since I don't know of any Uzbek influence in Chiapas (or Chaveles).

At any rate, I had to stagger out and get back to the hotel for work before too long. Spaceships to design and all.

You will all be pleased to hear that as of June 2006, things were alive and well at the Safari Lodge. Lap dances still 100R ($3) but an hour in the dacha upstairs will range from $150 - $250. See some of my reports for all of the sordid details.

You will all be sad to learn that the Safari Lodge has been closed down for operating as a brothel - big surprise. I hear that it happened last October when the Georgian owner did not pay off the right government official. The word on the street is that now Shandra is the logical replacement. Have never been but will be in Moscow in April and will report.

Good news. Safari Lodge has reappeared in a new location. Have not visited yet but am planning a trip in June. Will report. The word is that the prices have gone up but most of the girls have come back. I hope Anna Banana and Big Marina (the Ukrainian Juggernaut) are still there.

Safari Lodge is now officially lame. Even the new place is lame. However, I did discover a new place last week that had been open for about 4 months now from what I understand.

It's called the Aurora 911. Conveniently enough, it's located across the street from the Marriott Aurora at 27 Pokrovka which is one block east of Tverskaya. Very centrally located and easy to get to . Walking distance from Chekovskaya Metro stop.

It's much more upscale club than the old Safari Lodge so it does not have that fun "dive" feel to it, but the girls are spectacular. The management has done a very innovating thing with the table dances in that they have lowered the price back to 100 rubles (about $3 these days) but they have shortened the duration of each dance. Clever marketing I suppose. There are rooms for private dances (waste of time IMHO) but they do have several rooms that are available for sex. However the price for an hour is a very steep 10k rubles or about $400.

What is different from the old Safari Lodge is that the dancers are all nude which is kinda fun. What is even more novel is that the bar tenders are all topless which is REALLY novel when they are pulverizing mint leaves for a Mojito.

The waitresses are all stunning. And while they work with their breasts covered, about once an hour of so, they take off their tops and dance for a song atop the bar. So if you are sitting at the bar, it's a thing of beauty.

I would highly recommend a trip to the Aurora 911 on your next trip to Moscow. It's loads of fun despite the 800 ruble cover charge.

Sorry to be slow on this. Just got back from a 21 day business trip to Turkmenistan and Moscow. September is a good time to be in Moscow. Giving you a recommendation for the "hottest spot" in Moscow is pretty relative depending on what your requirements and expectations are. In terms if a strip club, I would say that Safari Lodge has been adequately replaced by Aurora 911. It's located at 18 Petrovka just across the street from the Marriott Aurora (how convenient). It's more upscale than the old Safari Lodge and the girls are far better looking but you do need to be prepared to spend some cash. And of course, it all depends on what you are looking for.

The Aurora 911 is probably one of the best "strip clubs" you could ask for. The dancers are naked, the bartenders are topless, the cocktail waitresses are stunning and although they wear skimpy little outfits, every hour or so they go topless and dance on top of the bar. So what's not to like?

They offer the usual table dances and lap dances at about 100 rubles for 40 seconds or so. That's right - not for the whole song. But still, if the average song is 3 minutes and 20 seconds and it's about 100 rubles for a 40 second dance, then you are looking at about 500 rubles for a grinding lapdance at Aurora 911. This is equal to about $16. If you compare this with what you might pay in the US or the UK, it's a bargain.

In addition to the usual table dance, they have private rooms for private dance which IMHO is a waste of money. They also have private rooms for sex which are expensive but very well equipped with private shower, toilet and bed. But an hour of bliss is going to cost you about $400. But these girls are as close to screwing a runway model as you are going to get so I suppose it's all relative.

Oooops - guess I said all that in my report last month.

By all means, go to Night Flight. I was there in June with some colleagues and it was good. Waaaaaay over prices for what you can take out of there but it's fun to go for dinner and watch the parade. BTW - the food is excellent.

There are better alternatives to that for sex depending on what you want. I would categorize the action in four ways and make the following recommendations;

1. Strip club - Aurora 911, Bordo, Violette

2. Hooker bars - Night Flight, Hot Dog's (There are always girls for hire at these places. The variables are quality and price. Most will say that the quality for prices is not what it used to be so once again it's all relative.

3. Bars / Clubs where you can find both working girls posing as club girls and just plain party girls who can be talked into bed - Che (Guvera), The Real McCoy, La Cantina, 16 Tons, John Bull Pub. If you can latin dance then I would go straight to Pancho Villa (near French Embassy). There is a cadre of very, very hot Muscovite chicks who love to dance salsa and drink tequila. If you can salsa - you will get laid. And probably only for the cost of some drinks.

I would stay away from the Elite Discos like Fabrique, SoHo Rooms, Pasha, etc. Unless you are willing to plunk down $2,500 for the evening, forget it. You heard me. In these clubs there is no crisis. There are still local Russians with plenty of money to burn in the elite clubs and for every one there are 20 stunning girls looking to get a piece of the magic. BTW - this is where all of the stunning girls who USED to be a Night Flight now go. They hang out waiting for an invitation to a private table of one of these mini-garchs. I met one of these guys through a friend of a friend of a friend who "sponsors" three different girls to the tune of about $2,000 a month each. These girls used to sit endlessly in clubs like NF waiting for a "party". Now that they have a sponsor or two or three, they don't need to go to NF. They stay at home or go to the gym waiting for a "bootie call" a few times a week or just to sit at a table in an elite club sipping champagne and looking pretty. So there's really no point bothering with these girls.

BUT - for the normal population and mere mortal girls, times are a bit tough. They are more than happy to hang with you and dance and drink a few cocktails which lead to more dancing which leads to more cocktails which invariably leads to sex.
IMHO it's a matter of finding the right bar that fits your style and and comfort zone. Dance a little, flirt a little and take a swing. You will be surprised at what you find.

Having said all that and if this is your first visit to Moscow and you are tight on time, your options are limited unless you speak the language.
