Spent 2 and half weeks in Malaga. There are many venues for us. Mostly outside of Malaga in the more touristy areas to the west where there are night clubs. In Spain it seems like all night clubs are where there are girls for rent. On the national highways on the outskirts of cities are some also. Spain has its own time frame, what I mean by that is it opens late and closes every late or earily the next day, so you go at it until 5 or 6 in the mourning.
Estark night club; no entry fee, drinks 6 euros, 20-40 girls of all nationality, 5s- 9's. 60-70 euros for 30 minutes. It seems to me the set up is for a younger crowd with the loud disco music although the clientle ranges all ages.
I looked at classifieds in the local paper and there are many to choose from in terms of escorts or private apartments. This was the Spanish paper although there is an English version once a week. I dont speak Spanish much but was able to get address and with a map was able to locate them. This, for me was the way to go. Found one with 4-6 girls and all were very rentalable, bbbjs and an hour for 91 euros in a very nice setting. This place had Spanish, Colombian, Venezualian, Ukrainian. I went 6 times and each time it got better.

Baboseki, it is strange to see the girls standing along the road. This is done in many of the smaller towns in Italy. In Milano, the girls will just stand around in the most obscure parts of the suburbs and lower middle-class areas of the city. I pull up to my apartment, one night, and there is a casually attired beautiful and very young woman standing near my front door -as if she is waiting for Italo, her date to the movies. It is strange that there is a tiny toy Tweety Bird or Sylvester the Cat key-chain doll hanging from a small backpack on a young woman in any city in the world, on any corner in the night, right now as you read this. It is strange and I sometimes feel sad and helpless when I think of this.

Most of the "clubs" in Spain open late (10:00 - 11:00 pm) and close around (5:00 or 6:00 am). Unfortunately for me, I couldn't be out that late. My other handicap was that I didn't have access to a car. I was also staying in the city of Malaga. There isn't much action in Malaga. I did, however, find a club in Torremolinos that opened at 4:00 pm. It's also easily accessible by train from Malaga (1/2 hour away, $1.60 EURO roundtrip fare).

The club is called Club Selectra. If you take the train, you get off at the Pinillos station. After exiting the train, stand on the station platform and look to your right at a 45 degree angle. At the street corner, you'll see Club Selectra. There's no visible "Club Selectra" sign facing the train station. If you don't see it and you walk more than one block, you've walked too far. The driveway entrance to Club Selectra is directly across the street from a church.

As you walk up the driveway to the entrance of Club Selectra, you'll see a doorman dressed like the best man at a wedding. You'll also see a sign that says no entry to anyone wearing tennis or athletic shoes or wearing any athletic clothing. The club is very strict on this dress code. I saw several guys being turned away for wearing athletic shoes. I also saw guys being turned away for wearing soccer jerseys, shorts, and t-shirts. If you're wearing anything that could be considered "sportswear," you won't be allowed inside.

If you're willing to conform to the dress code, there's a $25 EURO door cover which includes two tickets for drinks. Once inside, there's a large bar area surrounded by tables. When I went there around 6:00 pm, there were about eight girls in the 6-8 looks range sitting around the bar and tables. There were only about three customers in the bar area. A few of the girls waved at me. None of the girls tried to hustle me for drinks or to select them. The girls that I met were from Columbia or Brazil. As I arrived, more girls were arriving who spoke what sounded like Russian.

If you select one of the girls, you have to pay the house another $135 EURO for one hour. The girl will take you to a back hallway with a number of rooms. She will show you some theme-rooms for you to select. I was easy to please. I selected the first room I was shown. It had an English theme with stainglass windows hanging on the wall of London Bridge and other British icons. The room had a king size bed with mirrors on the ceiling. It also had a huge jacuzzi bath. The set-up reminded me of a Nevada brothel except cheaper, no price negotiating with the girl, and a lot nicer and cleaner. In fact, this was the nicest and cleanest brothel that I've ever seen.

As I was leaving an hour later, I walked through the bar area and it was filled with girls.

A few words of warning or advice:

If you don't see a girl that you like and want to wait, nurse your free drink for as long as possible. Drinks are expensive so be careful about offering to buy a girl a drink.

I was there at 6:00 pm. An hour later when I left, the place was filled with more girls. As with most clubs in Spain, your selection of talent increases if you can wait until later in the night.

Club Selectra is a bit more expensive because of the door cover charge. If you can wait until 10:00 or 11:00 pm, there are a couple of other nearby clubs, e.g. Geisha Night Club (no Asians there) and Crazy Love.

In the past, fun was starting with 6000 pesetas which is about 36 Euros, and we are talking about brothels in Barcelona or Madrid not junky streetwalker... Even if you had a great time with a 10, you shouldn't spend more than 60 to 80 Euros.

Torremolinos and the rest of the Costa del Sol are probably the most touristy area in Spain. From the prices that I saw for housing, clothes in department stores and food in supermarkets, the cost of living in the Costa del Sol is high. Almost comparable to the US prices.

In my brief report on Club Selectra, I admitted that it was probably an overpriced establishment, e.g., the dress code and the doorman wearing a tuxedo are good clues that there aren't streetwalkers inside. Upscale tourists are its primary customers. Inside, the Club Selectra is very luxurious and you pay for it. There are other nearby clubs which are undoubtly cheaper, but I didn't have time to investigate.

I was only in Spain for two weeks and checking out the nightlife and the girls were not a top priority. If I had been there longer and had more free time, I would have spent more time searching for something cheaper. Unfortunately, there isn't much information about Costa del Sol on this or similar websites.

One final comment - I really get irked by lurkers who pop-up with comments like "you paid too much" or "you got ripped off. . .you should have only paid ____" but they never contribute any information on specific places to go or girls to contact. They're useless.

Working on a private yacht based in Spain on the Costa del Sol, I am fortunate to be able to visit a number of quality clubs that exist here. Prostitution is widely tolerated in Spain. So long as no one gets hurt the Guardia Civil are content to make their enquiries off-duty. The girls come from Sth America (predominantly Brazil), Eastern Europe and occasionally Central America as (mostly) independent business women here on tourist Visas, and over-staying is not uncommon.

A company called Estark owns two "Hotels", Estark 92 (La Curva) and Estark 98 (Los Lagos) that are very well run Clubs with good security. There is no cover charge and drink prices are high by local standards at 6 Euros a beer. But this entitles you to stand at the bar and cast an eye over up to 30 girls, one in 5 or 6 of whom normally meet or exceed my 'optic quality assurance standard'. The girls come to chat and do their business presentation which always starts with a cheek kiss and usually an embrace, but can extend to having your flys opened for some hard sell. My Spanish is pretty basic, but I can manage to express what I'm keen on, slow and gentle, and assess the reaction accordingly. I've learned that the aggressive negotiators are not for me, that eye contact and smiles are usually accurate indicators of satisfaction, and that if all research fails, at 60 Euros (=$60) a half hour, I very rarely feel to have got a bad deal. At the other end of the scale, I've had many nights where I shared excellent love-making with gorgeous young ladies (tipping accordingly) and the memories of these are priceless. Several times I have acquired a regular, which can be nice but also carries the risk of jealousy developing (either side), and I've played doubles a couple of times. Most memorable.

Many other opportunities exist on the Costa with the many smaller clubs. These range from exclusive private villa operations (a bit savage on the budget) to the down-and-desperate (not my scene.) A number of girls operate independently either touting in or near night spots (try Puerto Banus after midnight) or through a local paper ('SUR in English'- free and widely distributed) and asking prices are around 200 - 300 Euros/hr for top-shelf girls, down to off-peak-quickies at around 80 Euros/half hr.

Further research is underway (I hope to report on the Islas Baleares soon) but from my experience so far, this place beats the rest of Western Europe hands down.
