I was in Kiev back in 2000 and my memory is a bit hazy. I stayed with a friend that lived there and spoke pretty good Russian. Strangely, most of the people in Kiev speak Russian, not Ukranian, compliments of the USSR. I have no info on hotels, but was told they are expensive. No idea on girl policy. There is a riverboat on the Dnipro river and I think it may have been called the Riverboat Casino or something. It's allegedly run by the mob so be cool.
