Hollywood Nights, St. Petersburg Russia. This is a hot spot, which could easily pass for a Las Vegas showclub, including a small but elegant casino on the second floor. The club is located in the very heart of the town on the primary shopping street. It's such a cool place, DEborah Harry (Blondie) opened the club with a private party. One theme has continued from day one: unbelievably beautiful young women. This aspect of the club, which applies to most higher quality places in St.Petersburg, is a very subtle matter. The girls will be very friendly if you look interested. You at first won't believe how fortunate you are that you seem to be exactly the man they had dreamed of. Make eye contact with one, and more likely than not, she'll respond positively and join you. This gettogether will include chatting, dancing, drinking, having fun---and not a word of sex or money will ever come up. But---the fact is, it's all about sex and money, just more subtle than Americans are used to. Basically, you or she will ultimately say something like "let's go somewhere else" or "would you like a date for the night?". If your answer is yes, the asking price is going to be around $300.

Rest assured that there is someone paying attention, and usually in this club and others, you'll spot an older woman who is in charge of the action, which is basically club-condoned action.

I should add that no one expects you to automatically go with this deal---but they will consider you unthoughtful if you allow the time to go by and you have no intention of coming through on your end.

When you leave the club, it is a real good idea to turn to your right and walk toward the Grand Europe Hotel where licensed honest taxis will be in abundance, and you can ask the doorman to get one for you, even if you are not a guest. Don't take the cars offered in front of the club...not that they are dangerous, just another club-condoned activity which will cost you!
