At $25 USD per night, half the prices of New Garden and Casa Valeria, I would have loved to have stayed here. The rooms are nothing special, but they looked sufficient and worth the price. Unfortunately I had a particularly bad run in with a mosquito during dinner one night here and saw an even bigger one during a room tour the next day. If I had planned to stay in Sosua longer I would have sucked it up and bought some more repellant, but my stay was short and I didn't want to deal with the smell and hassle since I seem to attract mosquitos more than most people.
They have free wifi here, and based on a conversation I overheard between the manager and a regular guest, I think it's one of the faster ones available. I didn't get the chance to try it out, but I was only moderately satisfied with the networks at New Garden and Casa Valeria.
The food here was excellent. (Looking at food on their website is making me hungry right NOW!) I ordered six of their "world famous ribs" for dinner and had breakfast here one morning. Their moderate pricing made the meal even more enjoyable.
The only thing I can think of that might be of concern to some people is that it's my understanding that there is no night time security guard here (although I can't confirm), you have a key to get in and out of the locked gate at night. The other places I stayed had a security guard that would keep the ladies ID while she was there. Personally, the lack of a security guard wouldn't bother me.
When I return to Sosua I'll be better prepared for the mosquitos and I'll definitely try to spend at least one night here.
