El Conuco
Casímiro de Mora No. 152

I found El Conuco by consulting a few lists of top restaurants in Santo Domingo. I'm not much of a foodie, so I usually do not put much focus on fine dining on my trips. El Conuco was identified as more of a traditional type place with good prices and lots of character, so I decided to try it out.
The restaurant is located very close to the Riazor Hotel and Jaguar Suites near the corner of Hermanos Deligne and Casimiro de Moya. It's essentially on the street behind the Riazor.
I ordered the Pollo Merengue, a dish consisting of cubed chicken breast in a mushroom sauce. I thought it was very tasty and wasn't very expensive.
They have dancers that come out to dance with the guests and they also put on a dance performance.
I recommend El Conuco and will be dining here again in the future.
