This is a new club on the main drag in Cabarete, about 200 meters South of San Souci and on the opposite (non-beach) side of the street. It is over a gift shop.

Purely as a research assignment, of course, I stopped in on Friday evening and had a talk with the owner (I think he said his name is Franco from Italy).

He used to own the big round, outside bar right downstairs from the new club, but had a problem with the landlord, he says. Then he started this place and took the girls with him.

Anyway, I was there from about 8-9:30 pm, just as the girls were starting to show up for work. They were uniformly your standard North Coast Chicas -- mostly 5-7s, mostly flaca, with one or two girls with a little meat on them, but no gordas to be seen of the 10 that were there when I left.

Drinks: Presidente RD35 Pequeno, RD50 Grande; Club Soda: RD20; Mixed Drinks were around RD50.

Chica Drinks: Same price. I bought a grande just to make two of the girls go away while I was talking and watching the war. It was a well-spent US$2.

Salida: RD100.

Price for Chicas: They quote RD1,000 and will settle for RD500.

There are no rooms on premises, so you have o spring for a cabana. The chica I bought the beer for offered to go to her apartment.

Side Note: Franco was very upset that I got hustled for a drink, and that she immediately disappeared once I bought it. He says he is trying to keep the hustle factor low, and that she is a repeat offender. There was very little hustle from the other girls, but I was talking to the boss.

Side Note #2: I can't find a cabana close to Cabarete. There's the one pretty far East of Cabarete, but I would much prefer one in the Sousa direction. Can ayone help?

RT here again. When I went back in the daytime to take the picture above, I realized that the directions are slightly wrong.

Obsessions is 100 (not 200) meters south of the San Souci RENTAL OFFICE. Not San Souci itself.
