I jumped between hotels while in Santo Domingo, but ended up spending two nights here. I had a single suite for about $45 US plus use of the safe for $3 US. A full breakdown of prices is available on the website.

I really enjoyed the feel of the room and the hotel's location, centrally located between many of the places I was visiting and walking distance to most. A small market is directly across the street and an Italian restaurant is next door.

My only warning about this place is that the walls were thin, at least they were in the suite I had. I received a room next to some kind of service hall, and while quiet at night, I could easily overhear converstations in the morning. I could also clearly hear CNN on the television from the adjoining room. I wouldn't be surprised if my neighbor overhead my antics during the evening.

This hotel cannot be beat for its price and location.

I actually paid $36 per night although my bathroom was not nearly as nice as the one pictured above. I did not have a thin wall problem there. I just turned on the air conditioner and didn't have a problem other than that thing rattling away.

They check and hold ID's for the ladies here so make sure she has one before you bring her back.

The desk staff was friendly and the maid was competent. It is not the nicest play to stay, but is a great budget option that is close to many establishments.

The do seem to have a slight termite problem though....
