I am thinking about doing some video / photo shooting of girls (both nudes and sex) while in the DR. Now, I have heard that shooting porn in the DR is illegal; but I also understand that it still takes place… so…

A couple of comments before I continue: I plan to keep these videos for personal consumption. But just in case, I have age verification and model release forms in Spanish and English and will be taking pictures of at least two IDs (to make certain the girls are over 18). Additionally, I shoot verbal releases and a document review on camera to further demonstrate the girls know what they doing. I have done several shoots in Brazil and would like to do the same in the DR. Pues, tambien, hablo bastante espanol.

FYI, I know that a certain “Rico” got in some trouble for shooting possibility under-aged (or undocumented) girls in the DR. (If anyone has further details on exactly what happened here I would appreciate the info. BTW, two of his sites are back online. His “18” site remains MIA.) I also understand that foreigners are paid more scrutiny than locals when it comes to dealing with women – especially when it comes to “exploiting” women on video.

A couple of questions about going about getting girls to do a shoot:

What is the ballpark $$$ figure to get average-looking girls (5-7’s) to do a video?

I know that the Brazilian domestic porn industry pays a dollar-equivalent of anywhere between $US 250-$500 bucks in Brazil. I personally have shot various girls for anywhere from $US 50 to $US 150 while in Brazil with the understanding that the material wouldn’t be made public (and it hasn’t).

I also understand that, for just regular sex (no video), the average rate for a short-time in the DR is $US 40-50 and for overnight is $US 80-100. I have a general policy of paying UP TO twice the normal amount for video, but am not certain what the “market price” is for most willing girls. (I know that in Brazil, only 1 out of 20 girls seem to be even interested in negotiating a video price while the rest would never think about letting you shoot them having sex.)

Please keep in mind that I am not looking to shoot “absolutely gorgeous” girls, but rather more average looking “real” Dominican girls. This actually leads me to another question about shooting outside of Santo Domingo in order to find fresher, more amateur talent. Is it going to be easier to find willing girls in the DR’s larger “cities” or outside? Thoughts?

A couple of quick questions regarding the risks of doing this:

What are the odds of a girl turning you into the police after doing a shoot in order to extort money of you? (Is this common?)

Are there any other securities issues that I should worry about, for example, a girl telling her boyfriend about a $2,000 camera and setting up a robbery?

Are local authorities and DR customs suspicious of video equipment – upon entry and exit of the country?
