Went down Sept.02, hit both Tabu's. Had been to one next to Lapsus before. It was remodeled last year. Now a bar with stools, and a dance floor, along the walls of the dance floor are some bench type seats, covered where you get to know your girl a little better if you want. Also some seats around the dance floor. Girls are not so pushy as last time. One night a chica wanted to go with me, but told her not too many pesos,, since had been to the casino earlier. She asked the manager who said just pay her in the morning. Overall, had the best time of my 2 prior trips to the club in years past.

Tabu 2, located by the Hotel Embajodor: 1ST TIME Here, after trying to keep an unwanted chica away,, and talking to the bartender who said his club was more upscale than the other one, she followed me to the door asking for 100 pesos propina {tip} for sitting with me, and trying to grope me.
Overall, the club had more extranjero's or foreigners,than the other Tabu which had mostly Dominicans the nite I was there. BUT..... the girls were not as pretty and wayyyyy too pushy overall, than the Tabu at Indepencencia.
IMO.

Going rate is around 1600 pesos, for all night,, close to 100 usd, exchange was 18 to the dollar.

Tabu is located on the north side of Independencia at #503 between Socorro Sanchez and Hermanos Deligne. It is slightly west of the northern entrances to Hotel Jaragua and immediately to the right of Lapsus night club. The address is actually that of Lapsus, but since the building to the right/east of Tabu is Aurora at #501, I had to assume Lapsus and Tabu share the same address.

While Lapsus has the ambiance of a more upscale strip club, Tabu looks and feels like a complete dive/hole in the wall. I only went in one night where I was immediately picked up on by a late 20's blond. She was actually attractive with a nice body, but she did look a little worn and I didn't like the feel of the place and thought she was a little too aggressive.

I've read some mixed things about this place. It might not be too bad if you walk in knowing what to expect.

Tabu was closed some time ago, I forget what year. The building is now a "hotel" that is part of Lapsus. There is a sign that says "Hotel" on the right side of the building approximately where the back of the car is in the post above.

I do not know the story on this building, but my speculation is that it's only purpose is for short time sessions and living quarters for some of the ladies that work at Lapsus. I had a session in there, and the place was a dump.
