A club, with usually lots of girls. This trip, the hard times were showing.

One girl who said she had been there 2 years told of not many tourist. Maybe 25 girls, last time 2x that,, 4 customers, last nite in maybe same amount, if not less customers. They have a dance show,, Vegas style, Dominican twist,, show.
Kind of Campy,, but worth a look, does not start till 12:15, or later. Girls who dance in the show may or may not go "salida". Other "hostess" will go, rate is 1600 pesos, almost 100 usd.And like the Tabu next door, one nite, had not enough pesos on my person to pay salida,, manager said just to pay the bar tab, and give the girl the money in the morning. Times are a changing,,or just that they are that hard. One thing, I would always explain upfront to the girl that you expect her to stay all night,, a tip in the morning is expected, 100 pesos -300 would be fair range,, but that is depending on service and enthusiasim ..... but the salida covers all cost except the tip.


1ST nite, after a year absence,, doorman, waiter and {to my chagrin} a chica all remembered me.!!!!

I like this place,plenty of room, tables, dance floor if you want to dance with your chica, some darker nooks and crannies for some better getting to know you introductions.
This time most girls were in the 7 range, but all are the Hot Blooded Dominican girls, and aim to please.

However,,,,the girls waste no time here, once you pick one to sit with you, or even if they are trying to get to know you without invitation, within in 5 minutes they are groping you, hoping you will not be able to withstand their feminine wiles.
Just happened to be watching one guy and girl dance on the floor, she was a hot dancer {not with the show, just a hostess}within 3 minutes of sitting down at the table next to me,, her hands were making that sales pitch!!!

I made a first weekend trip to Santo Domingo in mid-November. Lapsus was my first stop. I don't care for the place that much. I found the hustle to be a little hard. I spoke to a friend of mine (who likes the place) about this and he offered the following.

The girls make no money from drinks. They only get paid for their time with you and that occurs the next day. Competition in the club is fierce, even by hooker bar standards. He offered that he had had a lot of favorable experiences in Lapsus, but you have to develop a feel for the place.

I have been to Lapsus a few times. The first was in 1996. I met a very nice, sexy, and friendly chica and wound up spending my entire 2 weeks vacation with her. I didn't like the atmosphere at Lapsus due to VERY aggressive waiters. They were always pushing drinks on me, they insisted on being the middle man for my money, (I insisted even more on paying the cashier directly.), and DEMANDED tips. The girl I was with didn't like the place either. She said the management treated the girls badly.

In 2002, I made 2 week-end trips, in March and over Labor Day. I went to Lapsus again, (as well as Tabu), mostly because it was within walking distance of my hotel. (I didn't know about the Remington.) I met another nice chica who serviced me very well. But the waiters were as obnoxious as ever. This girl said the same thing about management as the other one. In addition, she said that the clientele was changing from Western tourists to local, Mexican, and Central American men. They apparently drink a lot and treat the girls shabbily. She complained of the pronounced competition between the girls for potential clients. She said she was cutting her hours there because the scene was getting to her.

I have been to Lapsus, club bar in the Domincan Republic behind the famous Jaragua Casino near the boardwalk section of the capital. The girls ranged from 7-10, all friendly (of course) and for 50 to 100 USD, you can with a girl. I went with a relative and he has been there so much that he gets VIP seats, so they are also loyal to regulars. Even stories that Major League Ball players have taken women to the cabaņas (hotels) for some action. Good music, shows and not bad prices for beers and drinks. 8.5 out of 10 for sure.

Lapsus is located on the north side of Independencia at #503 between Socorro Sanchez and Hermanos Deligne. It is slightly west of the northern entrances to Hotel Jaragua.

The decor and ambiance is that of a common strip club with strip shows and lip-sync performances. The quality of these shows is below average based on those I've seen in other countries.

As mentioned by others, there is some agressiveness in the club where the ladies will approach you. Of course, they will want to sit with you and both they and the waiters will expect you to purchase them a drink. I wasn't too fond of this.

They also may try to charge a cover which seems to be an optional thing. I was charged this one night, but not the next. The cover seemed small, though, so it wasn't a big deal. I think it was 60 pesos, a little over $1 US.

While I wasn't too impressed with the way the club was run, I did like a few of the ladies and found a beautiful and friendly blond here whom I spent a wonderful evening with. They have no rooms on-site, so I spent 2000 pesos ($40 US) to bring her back to my hotel.

As long as you are aware of how this club operates in advance, I think you can have some enjoyable times here. If you wish to visit other places, a small dive is called Tabu is right next door, followed by another small club named Aurora a few more buildings to the right.

Visited here 2 times past trip, and it was DEADER than have seen in past 4 years.

First time never saw 1 girl that would have made my list to leave with.

Not being picky, just quality of talent was low this time. IMO.....

I actually took a lady from Lapsus, a little 18 year old spinner. I made her show ID and everything. The session was average and the pressure is high there, but they do put on a good show. The selection was average when I went in mid-February.

I was there last week. The peso is back down to 30/$1 so the $$ value is not what is was 6 months ago.

I usually go to Club Remington and in the past had bad experiences at Lapsus and its next door neighbor, Tabu. I found Tabu to be the same - aggressive, ugly chicks.

Lapsus was a pleasant surprise. Lots of good looking girls dressed like those at Remington .. top shelf. Friendly - NOT over-aggressive .. did not come to you unless invited.

Picked a knock-out, trim, great boogs, beautiful face, flat stomach and rock hard ass .. 19 year old named Natalie.

2,700 pesos ($90 US) for the girl. Off to a Cabana because the Jaragua is NOT guest frindly. another 500 pesos. Had a great 2 hours. BBBJTC ... all the positions but no Greek (not a problem) .. energetic and fun. Great date.

Taxi driver tried for 1,500 pesos .. gave him 750 and he reluctantly said OK ...

Yes, I would do Lapsus - and Natalie - again. Plenty to choose from there, but with the peso down and if you need a taxi and a Cabana .. it is no longer the "under $100 night"

I hit Lapsus and the selection was terrible. The guy at the door said he had about 25 more girls coming in about an hour. I admit, I was early (9:15)and that place doesn't get rolling until 11:00 or so. But I was looking for an early evening because of work the next morning.

Lapsus was the place I got gouged by the taxi also, so I passed and moved on to Club Remington.

Lapsus told me the price was $2,700 pesos for the girls.

This is one of your typical Dominican hooker clubs. A large dark room surrounded by booths and tables, a bar to the side, a dance floor, and a bunch of really annoying guys in suits all pointing to seats in their section so they can bring you drinks. Amazingly, the music wasn't ear-splitting. The four of us walk in (me, my boss, the driver, and the security guard) and we get a table. The mesero takes our order, and we are immediately swarmed by all of the available chicas in the club (about 20 of 'em when we got there). They stood and swayed in a semicircle about 5-10 feet from us, trying to look attractive. I told the waiter that we weren't interested right then, and he shooed them away.

Sadly, these girls weren't the most beautiful, especially after spending time in the previous casa. The girls were slightly heavier and just didn't do it for me at all. Also, the club was very dark and you couldn't really get a good look at any of them, if you found a finalist. Unlike many other places, the girls were also a little more aggressive. I had to resort to (after politely saying no three times) asking, "Do you understand Spanish?" When she said yes, I then asked, "Well then, do you understand NO?". I didn't like being that direct and rude, but I tried my hardest before that.

There were no shows during the 45 minutes we spent there. I didn't ask what the take out price was, but I can't imagine that it is more than 2,000 pesos. They do not have on-site rooms.

Given that this information might be relevant for anyone visiting Lapsus soon, I'm including an excerpt from my trip report here with a photo of Nairobi.



Nairobi's beauty lulled me into accepting an inflated price. I paid 4000 DOP for an onsite session with her, plus 300 DOP for her drink and 200 DOP for a condom. They were raping me tonight. Unfortunately, I also paid the most for the worst session of my trip.

I got a few cute pictures of Nairobi, but the session went downhill from there. My first disappointment was her body. There was a reason Nairobi dressed conservatively, she wasn't a good type of skinny, she looked malnourished. Her stomach had a bulge and shape reminiscent of those pics you see of Ethiopians. Her tits also didn't look proper, but more like mounds of flesh hanging at unusual angles where the tits should have been.

We wasted a good deal of time with me massaging her. I actually like to do this to get the ladies relaxed and comfortable, but with Nairobi there was no reciprocal change in attitude. I finally got her to start with a CBJ which was decent and first, but I soon got bored with the lack of effort she was putting in.

Things got worse when I mounted her. Nairobi was the loosest lady I've ever been with...ever... I tried to get some sensation for a minute before deciding another angle might work better, so I had her switch to doggie.

I had just started to enter her when it hit me. The. Awful. Smell.

I was floored. I've been able to continue on at least a little in past sessions where there's been a bad order, but this would have made me puke if I tried. I had to end the session right there.

I don't know if she figured out why I stopped. I didn't want to seem rude by complaining even though it was a bad session and I had been price gouged. I just cut my losses and split. She knew I was unhappy with the session and that was enough for me.

These chicas are out and about during the day and I found one that I liked and she came by the Raizor everyday for 1,000 pesos.

My September trip I saw something that I wanted so I pulled her aside and told her to meet me at the Raizor in the morning for 1,000 and she did.

Lapsus at this location has been shut down permanently. The building has been demolished and all that is left is an empty dirt lot. All that is left are some small remnants of the ramp leading up to the entrance. The pharmacy to the left is still there. I'll upload a photo once I get them organized.

This news, folks, is addition by subtraction.

Lapsus is now located on the street where the 3 strip clubs are. Lapsus still has the most females out of all the casas.

I heard it's the same owner, but it's really a different club going by the name Venecia Hotel. They have a small sign that says, "Lapsus here", but the main sign out front and the name on the building identifies it as Venecia Hotel. With the name and location change, I would consider it a different club.
