This place is located in Havana Vieja on Blvd. Monserrate (maybe mispelled). It is an open air bar with a band that plays from 1pm to 2am. The food here is pretty decent by cuban standards and is cheap. Cristal and Buccanero beers are $1 and Mojitos are only $2.50. The place has a lot of mulatta and black freelancer girls. There is usually one or two cute girls and many of them will go for $40 for about 3-4 hours. The service is poor but service is extremely poor all throughout Cuba. Just relax and talk to some chicas while you are waiting for the drink they forgot to make.

IMHO any chicas cruising tourists in this prime tourism area heavily patrolled by police and undercovers (the police station is 2 blocks away) are rarely freelancers and the vast majority are super-hardcore. Hardcore isn't necessarily a bad thing, just know what's up going in. Obviously you can stumble across a diamond in the middle of a sewer, but if you're an obvious gringo tourist, odds are low in this area. The food at Bar Montserrat is decent and cheap and it's easy to find so makes a good meeting point.

I have done very well in this area over the past 5 years & have never paid more than $20 it's either sometimes free or mostly with small gifts of this is all I can afford cash, clothes, trinkets etc.

I like to be seen by the same hustlers & ho's on a daily basis.
I try never to appear to interested, but on odd occassions I'll buy them a beer or pack of cigarettes.

Relationship building for me is the key, I now have a handful of chicas (in this area) who put out for the fun of it, when it's quiet! I would never waste a girls time if there was real money within reach which is often case.

It's amaizing how they open up their world when they see you understand whats going on.\

Don't get me wrong I have on a quiet a few occassions given in totally to money hungry ho's & paid a wopping $30 for a hour & half ! & in the real world $250 an hour for dark meat with attitude.
