I have been to Sosua beach three time in the last 10 months. It is a great place because of the close proximity to the US and great beach there and of course CHICAS CHICAS CHICAS. During my trips I found a place called the NYC Shark bar. You can't miss it. It is on the main drag about 4 blocks from the beach on the right. A guy Lou owns and runs it. He is a true people person. If you are alone or with friends this is a great central location to hang out during your trip. The staff there is very freindly and will get to know who you are quickly. They will make a point of introducing you to others that have similar interests. I have made some good freinds there and have joined in on some great day trips around the island. Lou and his people always have good information about what is happening around town at the moment and can direct you well, which hotels have room, food, activities, etc. He also has good food, projection televison, alchohol, etc. I have been to many locations around the word, Argentina, Costa Rica, Europe, and have spents months in these locations but have yet to find a place like the NY Shark bar. Having Lou there takes a lot of the difficultly out of traveling alone. I know he will always steer me right.

Well thats great , hopefully you and lou got to know each other really well. But what about the chicas?

Could be an ad for a gay bar, seems the poster and this Lou guy have fallen madly for each other.

I've been there many times in my old D.R. days, I can say that Lou is a stand-up guy and runs a first class establishment. He imports everything from steak-um's to Nathans hotdogs which believe me, if you know the food in DR it is a heaven sent. Lou is a retired NYPD on disabilty who opened a bar in "SOSUER" and has been going on strong there for about 5 years. The poster is obviously a new guy here who might be amped up about some area that he feels compelled to talk about. Im not sure if there is any other hidden agenda in his statement but everything he has said about Lou and his spot is correct. If you know the D.R than you definately know the HO-Monger capital on the Island which is Sosua and then you would definatley know 'The Shark Bar" edited for grammer

Damn I think the real sharks are the ones critiquing starbucksguys enthusiasm about a good time spent in Sosua. I am new to CH but have been mongering for a decade. If you rip apart the new guys to bits before they can figure out how to post where to post etc. You will drive away all the new blood. Dont let your past jaded experiences run off the people with the new info.

I noticed that he posted this back in 07 and it is now 09. Has he replied anywhere else? Anyway I didnt know about the NYC Shark club in Sousua and if its still there I plan on going there. Maybe they can point me toward some pretty freelancers (women, I am sure its not a gay bar) that are of age and want to party!

You'll find that this board, as a whole, really frowns on touting, pimping and spamming. That was the issue with his first post.

I agree with Duke01. The whole point of this association of ours is to get info just like this. Yes, the poster forgot to give us any detail on the Bitches. Just ask him to clarify on that, not rip him a new asshole. So, can I assume anytime a member raves about anything good on his trip, we should just dismiss it all as spam? I will be in Sosua in mid May and intend to seek this place out, along with my 2 wingmen, and report if its a good place or not.

I was just there and enjoyed interacting with Lou and his regualrs. Think of this place as the "Cheers" for American ex-pats. Small but cozy and fun. Being the typical American that he is, Lou allows the late night working girls with no clients a place to sleep on the floor out back and a bite to eat from his kitchen. I'm pretty sure he ALMOST never asks for a blowjob for his kindness or anything like that. Lou knows the town and he and some of his regulars are a great source of info for the area. Bitch friendly place and Lou knows many of them and can give advice if they are trouble or not. Its obvious that many of the Bitches really like Lou and they often stop by just to say hi to him, "How YOU doin BABY" is Lou's boisterous signature greeting to the friendly whores who stop in. Its a great place to start right after dinner before hitting the club scene. Hope you like sports since that's all he ever has on TV. Sports talk dominates here.
