Just wondering if residential hotels exist down in TJ, if there worth it and what might be some good recommendations. I'm in transition
and wondering if I might save some money and have some fun.

If you're talking about a period of a few months, just rent an apartment. Nice furnished pads available in good neighborhoods from $200-500 per month - and you can get 2 bedroom apartments within that range. Really nice apts. right on the beach in Playa on the upper end of that range and middle to upper end of the range in contemporary residential towers in Zona Rio. Decent digs on the west edge of Centro within walking distance to the zona norte on the lower end of that range - older buildings but solid and clean. I don't know, but I don't believe you get stuck on any long term leases.

Most residential hotels I've seen are pretty much dives. Maybe one exception but I haven't been inside and sorry, can't even recall the name. But it is on the SW corner of Calle 7 and Negrete which is 2 blocks east of Revolucion. Very large structure - can't miss it. All I know about that place is a few AB chicas I've known over the years have lived there and reported they liked it. These chicas were earning well and had other options, so I assume its decent although it looks a bit worn from the outside. It is also just a couple of blocks from the very interesting nightlife that is exploding along Calle 6.

Thanks for taking a minute to fill me in. Do you you know if they push a visa to rent in TJ, or that they do the same credit check as they do in the US?
