I sent in some nighttime pictures of the "Bienvenidos A Tijuana" sign from the Arch when it came down. The next day (December 16th I think) the sign and all the heavy equipment was gone. Traffic was no longer blocked off around the Arch.

I pointed out the missing sign to one of the shopkeepers that has a store on Revolution about a half block from the Arch. The shopkeeper said that a new replacement sign was going up soon.

On December 10th I rode down with two hombres for a seven hour bombing run. I was looking for some cheap room for the afternoon and early evening. My cheap hotel was just four or five storefronts away from the Najera hotel. In between running chicas up to my decrepit I paused in the alley to talk with some friends. We were standing near the Hotel Mini when suddenly these dudes start coming down the stairs of the Najara Hotel carrying mattresses.

A dozen or so men carrying down a half dozen mattresses at a time until they filled the sidewalk and the alley's street cab cut directly outside the hotel. After the mattresses came the furniture, and soon after that. The scavengers and rateros.

I have a friend named Martin that lives in LZ. Martin said that he heard through the Tijuana grapevine that the building's owner declined renewing the lease of the hotel to its current operators. Martin said: "ScatManDoo, you are witnessing an eviction. Mexico style". Martin also heard through the grapevine that the building owner plans to demolish the second and third floor of the building, leaving Malquerida Bar intact.

From there they plan to add four more stories to the building. He didn't say what was going in, but right now Tijuana's LZ appears to be experiencing a hotel room building boom.

I arrived at around 2PM on New Years Eve to LZ. The bars were nothing but a sausage fest. But most of my regular walkers were still in town and working despite the cold weather and greater number of policia on the street due to the notorious NYE holiday.

I spent a total of 500 pesos plus mucho regalo on my first four sessions that afternoon and early evening as my walkers found me immediately upon my arrival in town (Fannie, Norma, Kayla y Lety). A little after 7PM I called and lined up a relatively expensive date with Elizabeth who arrived twice at my HDS door. Our first cita was from 9 till 10PM and she pleasently surprised me by showing up again at the HDS just five minutes before midnight.

Once in my room for our second cita I said to Liz "I'm glad someone stopped by to help me ring in the new year. Surprised it is you and that you didn't have better options.". Just a minute or two later the HK fireworks began before our second round of personal fireworks got started.

Elizabeth is very quirky about the internet and not wanting her picture there/anywhere, so my camera was mostly focused on the fireworks intended for the general public.

Instead of my usual 9 to 10 citas a day, the reduced number of chicas in LZ limited me to just 7 sessions per day and there never was enough of my girls available at the same time, so no threesomes.

Here are some pictures taken discretely in HK showing the areas being renovated as they were opened temporarily during NYE.

There is a single picture of the second floor on the north-side. HK has removed the privado booths and doubled the booth seating. It was open on New Year's Eve, to handle the slightly larger crowd during the 12/23/14 to 1/20/15 deadest month of the year in LZ. On 1/2/15 this area was closed up again. Some drywall is up, but none of the finishing work and new fixtures have been installed yet.

The three really dark pictures of of a newly added u-shaped stairway from the first to second floors leading up directly to the DJ booth. My Quasi Wingman said he remembered there used to be seating booths in this area before the stairs were added.

The last four pictures are of a new stage being built on the second floor's south side with privados up on the third level.

I was walking along Primera on my way to Tito's Tacos on Wednesday afternoon, December 17th when I saw an odd sight.

The storefront of closed restaurant / bar / hotel called Nikkis had one of two large roll-up door partially open.

The former owner / operator of Nikkis is a monger I knew who in May was held for questioning (and later charged) related to sex trafficking.

That place has been closed up tight as a drum ever since. So it was odd to me to see anybody possibly going in or out of it.

There were three young local looking guys leaning against a white pick-up truck. They all looked at me as I passed by and snapped this one picture.

So I approached Nikkis and took pictures of the scene, because none of monger friends were going to believe it. Because they were all paying attention to me as walked the sidewalk in front of Nikkis. I decided not to stick around and just get these few pictures.

The door was not opened very much. I really couldn't see much as I walked past it. On another monger board this one poster insists that Nikkis is still locked up tight as drum, with the federal police seals still in place. He even stated so again, today. I don't think he has looked carefully at Nikkis doors recently, since the seals are indeed broken.
