I had hung onto a description of and directions to the Parador, that Nomar posted at my request at RedSnake. I think it is worth repeating here.

From Nomar:

BP,

The Parador is a "love hotel." It has garages that you pull into and enter the rooms directly from so nobody drives by and reads your plate. No lobby, no amenities outside the room itself and room service. Married Mexicans use it as a place for a rendevous with their mistresses/whores. Rooms are rented in 4 hour increments. The staff works 24/7 cleaning rooms etc... They do rent rooms for the night on a slow night, doubtful on the weekends. Although I've had success there too. Rooms are high quality for Mexico, clean, comfortable (AC, Heat, TV, Phone, toiletries) and safe. There are a handful of rooms with jacuzzis. I would guess 4-6. They have an attached "spa" room with a large, functional jacuzzi and beach type chairs. Easy to use and lots of fun in the right situation. The overnight rate for jacuzzi is probably closer to $70, short time $48 sounds about right. The quality of the rooms is roughly equal to the Real del Rio or any mid-level US accomodation. It is substantially better than zona hotels.

Getting there is easy. You drive down Blvd. Agua Caliente (east from Revolucion) until you see the sign for Ensenada Libre. Take a right (South) and follow for 1/3 mile. You will pass the Palacio Azteca hotel on your left. As you come around a bend the Parador is immediately on your right. It is a rather ugly, enclosed bunker type building but remember its secretive purpose. Drive directly in and stop at the office. If you are in a cab, it may be a $8-10 ride from the zone.

BushPilot, would the person at the front desk take cash for the room? I dont carry any credit cards with me and i feel more comfortable paying in cash. I'm thinking about taking my favorita from AB to Parador for an all-nighter and take a cab over there.

Cash is King at El Parador. They dont even ask for a credit card that I remember, and I also think its a pay upfront deal. Room was $30 about this time last year on weeknight. The guy even asked me if I wanted him to fix me up with some girls he knew. The only thing that scares the shit out of me is pulling out of the El Parador, its a little bit on a blind curve.

By Crazyazyn on Wednesday, October 18, 2000 - 09:14 pm:  Edit

I believe you can pay with visa, atm, or master card at el parador. I was just curious and ask if I could pay with a credit card and they asked me if i had a master card or visa. I however decide to pay cash instead.

By Cf on Wednesday, October 18, 2000 - 10:46 pm:  Edit

I always pay with cash from the car, the guy comes up to your window when you drive up. easy.

I rented a jacuzzi room last week for $53. I was expecting a large jacuzzi tub or something of the sort. What I found was a completely seperate room with a large jacuzzi, chaise lounges, adjustable lighting, wow. Totally cool. My lady was equally impressed. Did a whole bubble bath thing that will give fond images for years to come...

By Senorpanocha on Wednesday, November 01, 2000 - 11:09 pm:  Edit

I go here a lot daytime costs me 330 pesos each time, always use a credit card, and never leave the cab,but now thats it's winter I will try the jacuzzi room,it sounds great, thanks for posting about it.

Correction to the above information: We asked at the front desk and found out the rooms are generally rented for the entire night like any other hotel, not in four hour increments. They do put time restrictions on weekends, however, 12 hours for us last time. They don't have keys so you have to let the front desk know if you are returning or the may assume you left and re-rent the room.

To help visualize the layout of the Parador, here's a photo taken from my room looking across the driveway. The garages are private, secure, and discreet, each one below a clean, comfortable love nest.

Hey for those of us who prefer to use the cabs, is it hard to get a cab back to the Zona? Do you have to tell the desk clerk?

By Senorpanocha on Thursday, January 04, 2001 - 03:05 pm:  Edit

Simply call down from your room at the end of your session to the front desk, ask for a taxi,a cab will be there in less than 15 minutes. It's about a 8 dollar cab ride back to the zona. I have the Favorita do it,but when I do it,it's "taxi, por favor".

For most of us, maybe.
for you... NEVER!

I took my favorita to Parador on Wednesday. Like most of Tijuana her apartment didn't have water due to a water main break and she really appreciated the chance to get a good shower. (I read that most large businesses have cisterns.) Nobody spoke English, so my favorita had to do the talking. The posted rates are 490 pesos for a Jacuzzi, 330 pesos for a standard room. The sign said 9.58 pesos/dollar. So, I paid $35. It may be a little better to bring pesos. The english sign on the room door said checkout at 2PM. So, there doesn't seem to be a short time rate. The room was nice, better than a Motel 6, less than a Holiday Inn. There was free porno on TV.

Anyone know the exact address of this hotel? And what the prices are nowadays?

Also, I heard some guy was murdered there not too long ago by some chica in AB when I mentioned this hotel to my favorita. She turned all pale and started to stutter when talking about it. Any idea what that was all about and is it safe now? I couldnt really understand half the things she was saying due to my poor Spanglish skills and her nil to zilch English skills. I'd really like to take her to a nice jacuzzi hotel but not at the expense of my life. I've become addicted to living.....

take the blvd. aguas caliente towards la mesa. Turn right on Cuatemoc and drive about a mile and it will be on your right.

By Snaggy on Friday, December 07, 2001 - 05:17 am:  Edit

I called to see if a room for all night is available on weekends. I was quoted $57. I think the normal short time weekend and all night rate during the week is $38 but I haven't stayed here in a few months.

By Curious on Friday, December 07, 2001 - 10:39 am:  Edit

I think $57 is for one of the deluxe rooms with a Jacuzzi.

By Bullet on Friday, December 07, 2001 - 10:12 pm:  Edit

eclipse,

you probably have nothing to worry about unless your favorita is the one that committed the murder.

By Explorer8939 on Saturday, December 08, 2001 - 10:35 pm:  Edit

It is correct that Parador charges $50+ for a regular on weekend nights.

By Snaggy on Monday, December 10, 2001 - 03:56 am:  Edit

I arrived early Sat. morning, paid $37, and was not disturbed during the 6 hours I spent there.

By Pancho on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 - 09:59 am:  Edit

Has any one stayed here lately? Have they changed their rates? Is it still open? etc.

By Dogster on Saturday, June 29, 2002 - 01:43 am:  Edit

Yes, it is still open. The rates sound approximately correct; I've probably been paying a little too much. Clean rooms with large showers, discrete, safe garage to park the car, several porn stations available in the room (so much for reading Maxim...), excellent, large beds, clean sheets. Is there a better no-tell motel in TJ? Meet your favorita off site and take her here for a few hours. Haven't tried the Jacuzzi rooms, but will next time.

By Ldvee on Saturday, June 29, 2002 - 08:35 am:  Edit

I'm there pretty much every week. $36 for a regular room all night except Fri and Sat when it's only for 4 hours. 2 porn channels maybe 20 others, A/C, lights on a dimmer switch, totally clean right down to the 2 breath mints on each night stand. Stop at the corner tienda a couple blocks before the hotel on the right, get some beer, snacks, whatever. Or Dominos delivers. Perfect.

By Explorer8939 on Saturday, June 29, 2002 - 08:56 am:  Edit

My only nit is that I don't like the jacuzzis. Too big, too flat (!). Basically, you end up sliding around.

By Harold_Johnson on Sunday, August 18, 2002 - 09:48 pm:  Edit

Ldvee,

What's the deal with this place on weekends? I'd like to stay in a jacuzzi room on Sat and Sun. Will they go for it? What are the rates these days and do the doors have locks (all, none, or just to long-term rooms)? TIA.

By Ben on Monday, August 19, 2002 - 07:24 am:  Edit

HAJO,

I have spent many delighful afternoons at El Parador(what wonderful memories), but my information is at least 6 months old.

Parador use to have a standard room rate of around $45 and more for a jacuzzi room($53). You were only renting the room for 4 1/2 hours. Apparently they would look the other way if they did not need the room. I do know jocannon use to stay there all night. I would just tell them you need the room "toda noche" when you check in.

Los Penos works the same way. I was just there last week.

By Harold_Johnson on Monday, August 19, 2002 - 05:53 pm:  Edit

But what about the doors? Somewhere I remember reading that because it's 4 1/2 hour rooms they don't have locks on the doors. Para toda la noche I'd like to know my shit is safe and not available to everyone. Los Pinos vs. El Parador which one is nicer, closer to el centro? TIA.

By Ben on Monday, August 19, 2002 - 06:15 pm:  Edit

Los Pinos is a little nicer and both places do have locks on the doors. They also have chains for security when opening the door to look out side for your esposa.

They also have electric garage door openers so if you drive in your personal car you can shut the door so you car is not visible.

They do not give you a key to the room as the doors are open when you arrive to your assigned room. You do not register with a name. You just hand the mesera cash and she tells you your room assignment.I guess you would have to have the management open your door if you left for a while and locked your room.

Also they have a wheel/lazysusan type thing in the wall, so if you order food/cerveza,etc. they just put it on a little platform and turn the wheel to the inside into your room. That way if you are getting a blow job or fucking a girl you can just walk or crawl from the bed(maybe even just lift her up) with your girl in still full contact while you retrive a fresh shot of tiquilla or beer. Don't laugh, I have done it more than once.

Incidently, right across the street from Los Pinos is a nice little bar with pool tables and shuffle board. I have gone across the street several time with chicas after a few hours of sex and shot pool. etc.

When I use Jesus(the famous taxi driver) to take me around he hangs there until I am through.

I've yet to make a trip to TJ, because I live in Arizona, but this "love motel" sounds exactly like the "No tell motels" I wrote about in my Hermosillo report. I love them!

At the Parador in Hermo there are no locks on the doors but you can bolt them from the inside when you are in the room. I understand your anxiety about the security of your valuables when you stay "TLN", but do you leave valuables in your room when you stay at other hotels? Since I drive when I go to Hermo, I usually take most of my valuables with me in my truck when I leave the room.

In the No Tell Motels of Hermo it is obvious that the entire room is not set up for an all night stay. For example, none of the rooms have a closet or a place to hang your clothes - even if they have a space for one designed into the floor plan of the room! I guess they figure if your there just to fuck you don't need to hang your clothes up - just throw them on the floor. Also, I noticed plenty of dressers and bed side stands but all the drawers were false. Another words if you pull too hard on the handles you risk pulling your arm out of it's socket!

Is this what you guys found down in TJ?

Viva Mexico! What a strange but wonderful country!

By Ben on Monday, July 21, 2003 - 03:05 pm:  Edit

Yes it is the same in Tijuana, except that have a brass plaque by room 100 at the El Parador in recognition of the fact that in one year of renting rooms for me and Sweetie Pie, I paid for the construction of the whole fucking hotel.

By Iwarp on Thursday, April 27, 2006 - 09:37 am:  Edit

I just discovered El Parador yesterday. A great place! A jacuzzi room was $58. I did not have time to test the time limit, but no mention was made of a limit. It was my lady's first time there, as well. She really liked the atmosphere. There was some traffic noise, but who was there to sleep?

By sampson on Thursday, April 27, 2006 - 11:40 am:  Edit

There regular suites are not 330 pesos, which I think makes them the less expensive of the love mothers. $60 give or take is the price for jacuzzi suites in most of the love motels.
