Which Hotel in TJ?

ClubHombre.com: Tijuana: Advice/Questions/Commentary: Which Hotel in TJ?

Guys, Where should i stay On the TJ side of the border? Close to the action would be good. If i stay at an upscale hotel, will security let my chicas in? Will the chicas even be willing to go to my upscale hotel? or should i stay at cascadas or nelson? I also would prefer a "secure" type atmosphere if possible.. thanks and i appreciate the input!

The Hotel La Villa de Zargoza has worked well for me. Enclosed gaurded parking lot. Not too far to walk afternoons and early evenings (I still take a taxi later) Resonably priced and clean.

Mcdijj, thanks for the info! Is it ok to bring my amigas back to my room? I will arrive alone but am going sign in for a double occupancy...just in case. The AOL site is great, hotel looks good and the prices are resonable.

On any given weekend, I would guess fully HALF the rooms there are occupied by mongers and their amigas.

It can be kinda funny sometimes. I remember one morning walking thru the parking lot having my amiga point out guys she recognized from Adelitas. It was about 80% of the guys we saw!!

Mcdijj,
It's okay for chicas to meet you at the hotel. if they are not coming back with you there is no problem as the reservations I have told are all for two people - if they are coming back later to see you make sure they know your name and hotel room number. The office guys will let them call you and ask and you may have to come to the office to pick them up. The office guys are all good guys.

After 8 or 9 PM if the girls are coming alone security may scare them off. Remember all the girls have to do is call your room. The hotel clerks are more than helpful in this regard, but security can scare off the more timid chicas.

Often times I would wait for my amiga around 2 or 3 AM outside the Hotel (anticipation). Interesting goings and comings happen all night and all morning. It isnot to difficult to snatch a chica at a reduced price because she does not know her John's name or room number. One time I was propositioned by two secretaries who wanted me to pay them for a massage - If my amiga was not coming over in an hour I would have gladly taken advantage of the situation.

It's gotten so that when my amiga especial comes over the first question she asks me is how many women did I have last night. I respond and say 10 and that I invited all of the girls from the Isis and Unicornio to my room after they got off work. I say this and my amiga really believes it and then gets mad at me. She isn't smart enough to realize I can barely take care of her much less a group of women.

Salsa Boy,
Another option you might look into is Hotel America. Its closer to La Revolution and of course Adelitas. Its reasonably priced and it also has night security. There is a guy who works the front desk whos name is (better not mention his name) but youll recognize him with green eyes this guy is very cool and will not care if you bring several chicas to your room. Im giving you this information because Several other mongers and myself have always enjoyed the comodities there.

BTW, Its on 4th and Diaz Miron

here's the trolley website.go low in the page and click on the blue line ,northbound schedule. You get off at the American plaza and should give yourself up to another 30 minutes to catch the airport flyer bus and make it to the airport.

Salsa Boy,
Why waste time? Just catch a cab from the US side and you'll be there in about 20 minutes. The trolley in my point of view takes too much time especially if your in a hurry.

Valentino writes about Hotel America "BTW, Its on 4th and Diaz Miron"

Actually 4th street is Diaz Miron. Remember all the numbered streets in downtown TJ also have another name. 1st street=Articulo 123, 2nd =Juarez
3rd=Carrillo Puerto etc

Salsa Boy...
Allow yourself 3 hours to get from the USA side of the border to the SD airport...Believe me, I've fucked this up enough times...missed flights, desperate moments, frenetic activity...
This means allow 3 hours from the red trolley terminus in San Ysidero (at the border) to get to the SD ariport...your trolley ride alone is about 45 minutes...and if you don't catch a trolley right out of the chute, you will have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for the next one to arrive... then you will have to wait for the 922 airport shuttle bus (has a sign that says Airport Shuttle across the front) at American Plaza...another 15-20 minute wait...and then a 20 minute bus ride to the SD airport...It's the "slop time" that'll screw up the whole process...that's why even though your total travel time might be 65 minutes...your "wait" time for transpo might take up another hour or so...I've tried to pare this down to 2 hours but it's always "heart attack city"...Remember, I'm takin' cab to the MX side of the USA border crossing...so add a half-hour to ride 'n' cross...total "backtime count" is about 3.5 hours...And I know what it's like to be havin' a grand ol' time in AB and HAVE to painfully TEAR myself away...because the countdown clock is tickin' towards "lift-off"...it's hell...

How much do you think is a cab ride from
SD airport to the American Plaza? and then
take the Trolley from there to the Border,
just trying to gain some time.

Thanks

The 992 bus from the airport to American Plaza runs every 10 minutes, so I'm not sure how much, if any, time can be saved with a taxi.

Haven't been to TJ in about 4/5 years (back when Redsnakes board was active), business trip will take me close in early June, can't wait to get back...I've been dreaming of this since my last trip. I used to stay at the hotel Leeva, can't remember the exact name, it is close to CC. I've read here that the place has gone downhill, never really was that nice anyway. Can someone rec a Hotel? Don't want to spend $100/night, but can afford around 40-50/night. Want to be able to bring a chica, (wishful thinking). Thanks.

Forgot to ask this...should I make a reservation or not? Can only be there on the weekends. Thanks

By sampson on Saturday, May 11, 2002 - 02:01 pm:  Edit

do you need to stay in the general area? i don't like any zona norte hotel. often stay in pacifico, which is around 40 and reasonably nice.

By Wedge95 on Saturday, May 11, 2002 - 05:20 pm:  Edit

Thanks Sampson...where's Pacifico. Is it a Hotel or another town. Do they take reservations? Have a website?

By StrikeEagle on Saturday, May 11, 2002 - 11:05 pm:  Edit

Sampson,

I just checked the Discus Hotel board, found nothing about the Pacifico. Have you been holding out on us?

Please, do share about your find.

i'm sorry to be so lame, but i go to a lot of hotels, and jesus gets me there. while i'm playing tickle, tickle in the back of a cab i don't pay much attention to street names etc. i can tell you that is next to westfargo bar and hotel leon is close as well. does this help? if not i'm sure milky would know.

Sampson,

I was thinking more about a 'hotel review' like you'll find posted about most of the other hotels on the board. (Info like room types, prices, what you like, what you don't like, etc.)

Don't mean to sound like a PITA, but if each Hombre gives one 'secret find' a year, we all get a hell of a lot of info added to the collective knowledge of Club Hombre.
