I tried this club late Friday afternoon based upon the recommendation by Erip. The club I went to was actually called Club 69 and located in the Rio Rita mall. I assume this is the same one that Erip was speaking of. The club is located about two floors beneath Revolution. I would absolutely agree the nastiness factor is turned up a couple of notches from Peanuts and Beers.

Upon entering the club I was bombarded by three waiters/waitresses, all wanting to sell me something. Everything from a beer, tequila, table dance, or a girl was offered. All I wanted was to sip a beer and watch the continuous floor show. In the hour that I was there I was asked to buy something at least 25 times. That equates to once every 2-3 minutes. The bottom line, I was annoyed by the sales jobs and the fact that everyone in the place hounded me for a tip.

Towards the end of my hour I did finally give into a table dance by one beautiful girl named Gabby. The dances were priced, or I should say negotiated at 4 songs for $50. The dance was an "everything goes dance". I was offered the private room dance but was unclear weather that was the hotel or some private secluded room in the bar.

I will definitely try this place again. I will also tell the waiters that I will raise my hand when I want something and there is no need to hound me.

These Revolucion clubs have absolutely no business sense in the way they treat customers. It's inconceivable that they could believe they are showing you a good time and generate repeat business from you when they hound you ceaselessly...but they do it anyway. I just don't get why they don't get it...nobody's getting it!

I enter expecting it and gird for it...like a juiced up college football player on game day knowing I'll get hit hard but walk away victorious at the end! Lately anyway, assertive use of the word "NO!!!" along with pronouncements that I will let them know when I want something, has yielded tolerable results. They usually leave me alone after an initial 10-15 minutes of pure harassment. Then I relax and play it on my own terms.

Ezgab, perhaps you noticed another club at the end of the tunnel leading to the baño - that accounts for the multiple club names on the awning. I just call the whole complex Rio Rita's.

I suspect most of the Revolucion clubs really don't think a whole lot about repeat customers, since the whole Revolucion vibe seems to be centered around the one time customer....they just wanna snare the hapless tourist wandering by.....and there are many. Rio Rita is probably my fave on Rev with La Carribean a close second. At these two clubs I can usually get them down from 3 bucks a beer to the Zona like 2 bucks a beer. As long as you don't insult them or their club I find the people there are pretty easy to get along with. At La Carribean once I ordered a bottled water and when I asked how much the waitress just said "whatever", I gave her a couple of bucks and she hung around along with a manager guy and BS'd with me for awhile.

Redongdo, I think you nailed it. The downscale Revo clubs like RR, P&B, Caribbean are full of non-regulars - tourists enticed off the street by hard sell barkers. Still, you would think that the operators have familiarity with the concept of "word of mouth" in the entertainment business.

Like you, I actually do like most of the people who work in these clubs - I scratch out my turf, they respect it, and we get along. Last visit to Rio Rita's I spent more than an hour hanging out with one of the waiters who was relaxing in the club after his shift was over.

The barkers however, are indefensible. They are out and out petty thieves - virtually 100% of them. They will take advantage any way they can and then slip back out on to the street and cast their line for the next victim. They are rateros with a job - white collar crime in TJ!

My trip to 69, 007, 52, Rio Rita (you pick the name you want for it) was rather uneventful.

I went in on a Sunday night. It was 8pm. There were 2 girls, both of which not at all physically appealing, and nowhere near P&B quality. There were 8 college guys just standing in a circle talking to eachother for about an hour. I got harassed to buy things but it wasn't too bad. Nothing nasty was going on. Nothing fun or exciting. Well im not in much of a writing mood but since Erip asked, I went to this place a couple weeks ago. I dont remember if it was a weekday night or a weekend but it wasnt very packed at all.

I checked out the place for the first time. No Cover, Beer $5, laps $20. On a friday night busy and low hustle (for Rev standards), did not see any TV suspicious "things". I don't go to clubs like that often (mostly hand with my favs). In contrast to the dancers in the ZN the chicks here are actually thin. So if you mind a little extra woman (which I don't) this place is better than the ZN. The beer for $5 is the main reason why I wont go back. I rather party in the ZN with beer for $1.25 to 2.25 and get a BBBJ from a SG for the same price than a lapdance here. Reytj.......been there plenty of times on a Saturday night (might go tonight if the rainy season doesn't kick up too much), usually between 930pm and 11pm. I've never been there on a Friday night. I always get the same price without any problems at the bar. I do leave a $1 tip for the bartender when he first serves me, but that's just so they leave me alone.

The beers there have been $3 on a Friday or Saturday night.

In the past when I have gone to this club, I have had a good time. The hustle was at a minimum(waiters and others would ask for money, but after a few no's would desist) and enjoyed taking the dancers either to the back club or the dressing room for some excellent service. this past sunday, however, was different. The selection was limited, and the waiters all tried non stop for more dinero. From trying to raise the beer prices to claiming they deserved a tip for pointing out the names of the chicas, it was quite a hassle. In addition, they were constantly asking if i had any addictions and wanted to know if I wanted some cocaine. One went so far as to put a balloon on the table (supposedly containing cocaine) in front of a buddy of mine. Needless to say, we were not amused and told him to take it away.

Not known for my discipline in such situations, after a full access private dance (2 for $20) I still took an attractive chica to the back club for sex, and had a good session for $60. After we were finished, the two "guards" at the back door tried to extort a tip from me by blocking my exit. I instead forced my way by and they did not follow me.
