last year me and a buddy were walking down to the spot when this white guy about 24 years old asked us if we spoke english we said yes and he went on about how hes from LA and he and his bro got thrown in jail but he got out and his bro is still there and how he was broke needs to get home to get cash so his bro can get out and so on. I gave him $5. Then a month ago a big mexican american chick said the same but no jail her cousin left her after they got into a fight and need a bus ticket to get home my buddy gave her $10. Well since then I have seen the guy 3 times and I let him start telling me his story then I finish it for him lol and tell him if we were in the USA I would kick his ass and he splits fast. I also saw the girl again and she didn't know who I was at first then I ask her oh your back, hows your cousin? and she takes off.
These are the worst of the worst, it's sad for them to beg or should I say steal from us this way in TJ.

Fuck any American that is begging in Tijuana. If he/she was really in trouble they would be headed strait for the border. If I ever find myself in the situation of just getting out of TJ jail I know I am headed for the border as fast as I can walk. It makes me sick when I see Americans begging. The Mexican beggars are bad enough but at least they genuinely may have not had many chances in life. Most people in the world would give anything to be in the same shoes as any homeless, penniless American citizen. People who have all the opportunities in life we do and still chose to beg for handouts are worthless scum in my opinion. Ten times worse than Mexican beggars (who usually get on my nerves as well but occasionally get some money from me.)

The guy sounds like a dude I've seen maybe 4 or 5 times over the last year and a half. He's a moderately tall, dark-haired, sunburned, constantly hungover/strung out dude who scams on the TJ side, often near the pedestrian bridge, and sometimes in the parking lots on the US side. His story hasn't changed much in that time. If that's the guy, there's no need to kick this dude's ass. He'll drop off the edge soon enough.

Oh I saw the same guy last nite but he was in the SG street hitting on USA guys again, someone had kicked his ass becuase he was bleeding from his ear and had a cherry on his face LOL. Hes about 6'2 190lbs and had some fake muscles under his jacket dirty blonde or brown hair and one pant leg is always rolled part up. I waited for him to tell his story to some guys and then I walked up and said thats a lie! he said why would I lie and I said the cops would tell you to leave mexico and arrest you again if they saw you. why wouldn't you go to the USA and dial 1-800-collect! and said to the other guys what would you do if you just got out of a mexican jail go to the zona and beg for cash? I wanted to pop him but someone beat me to it LOL

I ran into a white punk, midnight, Monday night about halfway between Revo and the pedestrian bridge. Gave me some bullshit story about he and his brother were arrested and he just got out of jail where he was beat up and he was asking for a dollar from each American so he could buy a Greyhound ticket home(in TJ?) I told him if he was really in TJ jail no way would a gringo have made it out of there with those Nike's and jacket he was wearing so he was obviously full of shit but if he wanted an escort to guarantee safe passage to the border I would be happy to be sure he made it back to the USA safe and sound. He declined my offer of safety back in the good ol' USA, got pissed off, said some bullshit like "you wipe your ass with a dollar why do you care" and walked off all pissed off. That is now my standard offer to any gringo who claims to have had a serious mishap in TJ. I will gladly stop what I'm doing and help them get back to the border where they will be safe. I figure that will get rid of 98 percent of them who have no desire to go back to the border and if anyone does take me up on that offer they probably really do need a helping hand. I could see where someday I could end up beat up and barefoot in an alley in need of help but if I was I would gladly take any offer of help getting home before I would beg for cash.

I tend to give some coin to the american woman who stands with her kid in a stroller by the exit from the World Parking lot just before you cross into Mexico. She's always asking for change yet never acknowledges that I gave her money the day before. In fact, I am surprised that there are not a whole slew of people begging there, as there are plenty of people going by who have money burning in their pockets.

The sheer volume of people makes it a great place to panhandle. I used to like hearing the guy with sax and the guy with the flute jam together right there as I was walking across or coming back.

If she is marginally OK looking I would offer her $10 to suck my dick. Otherwise I will save my money for the chicas in the zona who also have kids to feed but at least have the digngity and class to leave there kids home with abuela, tía, hermana, or amiga and go out and earn some money however they have to.

Erip, Same guy for sure. He first pulled his act on me last summer, when I was walking across the border. I was in the area between the first and second turnstyle gates, and his first question was if I speak English.

Saw him again in December, this time when I was making a left turn onto the Rapido. I immediately recognized him. He asked the same question, at first I said no, then yes (because he kept asking). I told him I saw him 6 months ago with the same story then. He immediately walked away for the next car in line behind me.
