Walked into La tropa last night at around 6:00pm. Few people in there. Upon arrival, was immediately greeted by three waitresses and some guy who were trying to lead me to one of the tables.

Being the veteran monger that I am, didn't fall for it but instead walked straight to the bar. Ordered 2x1 Dos XX's. Few guys playing pool, about eight or nine chicas sitting around in the place with a dance show going on.

One annoying factor was Isabel, the short, slightly chunky waitress with short curly black hair who approached me at the bar and offered her sexual services. Not that I found that annoying, but she looked disappointed, even insulted when I politely declined. But what really pissed me off about her was, she comes back over to me after a while and just takes one of my cigarettes from the pack without even asking first. What pissed me off even more about this masera Isabel, was she walks back over to me again and attempts to take another cigarette from the pack. I told that was impolite and she said she needed it for her friend. I told her, if her friend needed a cigarette, to come and ask me, not send messengers to run errands.

Again, she looked somewhat insulted, but oh, well. Who gives a fuck at this point, especially when they view me a some dumb gringo tourist who doesn't know the first thing about what's up. I had to remind Isabel I was not the average innocent dumb tourist wandering from bar to bar. She said I should buy her a drink and I told her I didn't think I should be in any way pressured to do so. I added i was just going to sit here at the bar and drink by myself and watch the dance show in peace.

I was so turned off by the pushy masera and the bad vibes I got from this place that I decided to cut out early, thereby leaving the second brew half way full.

Sorry guys. I've been trying to give this bar a second chance but to all those who feel it appropriate to forever promote this place, I've had nothing but negative feelings and contact everytime I walk in here. Just another clip joint as far as I'm concerned.

It took me awhile to even tolerate this place (as my friends can attest) but as I stated earlier, there have been times that there's been (seemingly) more maseras then chicas working but as Erip also stated, the line between the 2 gets blurred in this place. The only reasonable good looking masera is Karla and I actually don't even think I've seen her serve a drink, she's always sitting with and/or making out with a customer.

I've been in this place a hand full of times and it has never impressed me at all. Maybe I'm just too good looking for everyone in this place and they are all reluctant to talk to me. Well all except Nikki who sat down and chatted with me for a while til I lit up a smoke and turned her off.

Speaking of which, the other problem I seemed to have while in La tropa the other evening, was it's hard to get to know a chica if they don't approach you. Okay, I know, I know.
