Hey everybody, I got the news that the HK is going to re-open in about 2 weeks. I talked to the Manager yesterday and I asked him about the place and he said that the HK is coming back so that they can service the Norte-Americanos and the other people that are upstanding in the way that they act.

Checked out the new HK last night. Not bad! I like the (semi) continueous floor show format. Also, if you want to dance with a chica you just go over to Miami via the many connecting doors - very smart "monger-marketing" if you ask me. I also noticed the private booths in the back of the club. Are these new? I don't remember seeing them before. Anybody know what the going rate is for private dances here and what we might expect (keeping in mind YMMV)? ...prog

The booths are new,20 dollar private dances....same as you'd find in the US which I think is pretty screwed up and something I'm sorry to see in the Zona. Just a one song grope session.

I've seen Esmeralda in HK on Sunday/Monday nights. I not seen here dance there, but supposedly she does. I think those are her days off and just stops in there to hang out.

Also, I've also seen Grecia(Grace) from the old HK days there too. If you knew HK, you'd know who she is. I think she is a cool chica to talk with, and a wild bitch in bed.

Who knows, if they can get more girls like that in there on regular basis I would hang there.
But, it is just too small there now to ever become the HK of old. The mini-booths for private dances are just a bad idea, they could have used the space for a few more tables.

Saw HK "classics" Esmeralda and Dina dancing at "new" HK on Tuesday night. Esme disappeared right after her dance set and I saw her the next night at AB. I have a feeling she's dancing at HK - they are paying her to create the illusion that HK is back...then she's back selling her tail at AB between "performances".

No more than 5 prospects on the premises at 11PM. But the new pint size HK is a joke overall...more like an anteroom for Miami Bar. The good thing is you can walk back and forth between the two clubs through a connecting door with your beer. That is a better idea than when they originally just removed the common wall and set up the battle of the two disparate club cultures ultimately won by Miami.

What I like is that they show the stage show in HK on the TV's in Miami. You can stretch out with the spaciousness of Miami and when you see something that looks interesting at HK bop over there.

I like the new Hong Kong. It has definite possibilites. The dancers were pretty good. I went with Jacqueline and she was excellent. There were several others that I would like to try out. The show starts about 9pm. Good to see the return.

The same dancers at Hong Kong also dance at Miami. When I was their monday they were dancing at both places.

I like the place. Naturally I like the music in Hong Kong better than Miami. Once HK gets going then the girls seem to migrate from Miami to HK. My experiences with the women in HK have always been good. As the pace in HK starts to pick up again, I think it will come close to the days of old. I do agree the booths serve no purpose when a hotel is near.

Hey Prog, you're right about that. Most guys are on a budget in the zona and think along the lines of Felix, they can't see spending on a lapdance. But if you got the money, I think there is a return on the investment...especially if you are old and decrepit like me and you've got to have that warmup. But again, if you are going to invest in ficha drinks, you might switch that over to lapdances (and someone posted that the price includes a drink). I like to get lapdances at Rio Ritas where you can always get 2-3 full length songs for $20. They have a new totally private and comfortable curtained off area. You spend 8-14 minutes in there with a hottie for $20, your sexual engine will be running like a Winston Cup car.

I visited Hong Kong over this past weekend, the place is never what it was, and frankly it was just dead, friday night there was one dancer on the stage, two below average girls and about seven waiter. saturday was alittle better but still not worth visiting, Miami was suprisingly better then anticipated, avoid Hong Kong it was horrible.

I am surprised to hear you had such a bad time. When did you go? I noticed the club has a decent floorshow after 10, interestingly the better days are Su-Th. On Fr and Sa they lose some talent to the hottiecentral in AB.
They also have 2for1 beer from Su-Th before 12.

I checked HK out last Sunday night. The place is extremely tiny and they never had more than two or three chicks in there at one time. I don't see the appeal of this place.

I've stopped by HK about 4 times since it reopened on various days of the week. First 3 visits it was a morgue, but last Tuesday, it was cooking at a rolling boil. Entered Miami and it was unusually dead - expected the same sight on the other side of the door. Instead found the place in heavy throb - jam packed with gorgeous chicas and customers. Fellow monger I was rolling with said it's not so uncommon to fink HK cooking these days. Bottom line is don't write it off. You never know what may be going on there. But it's also a different club than it used to be...only thing it has in common with the old Hong Kong is name,location and loud rock & roll (even more of this than in the old days since the strip shows predominate now).

Best floor show in the Zona. I' ve never seen the "old HK", so I can't waste my time commerorating "the good old days". This club I know has the best floorshow in the ZN. If I am in the ZN and want to relax, kick back, have a beer and watch some chicas getting undressed this is the only place I go to.
The place is sometimes dead, but so is Miami, CC, LC and TB. The only floor show competition in the Zn are El Pollo and El Pelicano and both are pathetic.
I think one should judge this place as a strip club and without cover, without hustle, nice and helpful waiters plus dancers who really try to entertain this is a nice contrast to the clubs on Revolution.

I agree, a good floor show, good looking women who will go upstairs with you. A good place to mellow out and be entertained.

Mellow out? The couple of times I've gone in HK, the music is turned up way too loud for that. Maybe I am showing my age, but I like to hear myself think plus be able to talk to the chicas without screaming.

I was in here around 11 PM last Saturday with an amiga. It was pretty dead - one of the chicas passed out and they revived her in one of the little rooms on the right.

HK bar website is specifically set up as a banned web site because of its prominent use of chica pictures in a PUBLIC area. On top of that, the site is very deceptive in it's use of pictures.

The pink tubed chica is not and was not an HK bar girl. Same goes for the girl in the white bra, the girls in front of Bar Tropical, the street girls, and some of the pics of girls from inside the bar as well. At most, only 5 of those girls pictured worked there, none of them currently.

Only change I've noticed in ages was the removal of Luna's picture. My guess is she found her pic on that website, figured out who put it there, and had a word w/ him.

Thanks for trying redongdo, I found it. I checked it out and I would have guessed that it was misleading. If it had women working there like shown in the pictures then I cant see anyone going to Adiletas. I appreciate the info and the effort.

I think some of the girls on the site work at tropical and others have since retired or moved to other bars in the zona. I recognize Erica (la tropa page middle girl) who is now at AB & Saraye or Sadean who moves from HK/Miami to La Tropa (3rd photo weekly photos page)

The new amigo I met at AB told me he used to like the Hong Kong Club but did not like it after they opened it up and made it part of the Miami Club. I told him they closed it back up and only have a door now going between the clubs. He said he would like to check it out. It is my second time there with the new configuration. I enjoyed it very much the first time. This last visit was no different. There was a continuous strip show with a different girl every two songs. Most of the girls were on the hottie side. A couple were super hotties. I love to watch strip shows, so this place is a good one for me. There are some private booths for lap dances but my friend and I did not do any because of having a full agenda and having more places to visit. I will be going back again though. There was one hottie that had unbelievable tits and I want to have a dance by her.

They had a good special show. They sat a guy down in a chair on the stage and handcuffed him to the pole. About a dozen different girls gave him very sexy lap dances during two songs. WOW! That guy had it made. It was sexy watching the show. Then we found out why they handcuffed him. A male stripper came out and did a lap dance. That got a lot of laughs, especially from the chicas. Then one of the hotties came on stage with a strap on dildo. She started a lap dance as normal, but then started putting the dildo in the guys face. It was a funny sight. Only in TJ would you see a show like this.

HK has remodeled over the last few weeks and with every change the club gets worse. A few months back I would go there for all my TJ strip club needs, but now I'm back at Madonnas. Go to Madonnas before 8 no cover and 2for1 drinks Su-Th. The dancers are in a different league and the music is not so extremely loud as it is in HK.
HK has to fight against Miami in terms of music level because both clubs are only seperated by a thin partition. This causes a painful music level, since the loudspeaker system is not geared for this extreme noise, plus it makes reasonable communication with dancers impossible.

hong kong sucks, used to be a happening place, now its just like a u.s. strip bar, with lapdances and a stage and a close up screen t.v.

The closing of the old Hong Kong Club was a disappointment. Opening up the wall and making it part of Miami did not improve anything. Comparing the "new" Hong kong Club with the way it was when it was part of Miami, it is better now, IMHO. The club offers something many other bars do not in La Zona Norte, a continuous strip show. The selection of girls has been very good the two times I have been there.

I understand the disappointment of the old club closing. At least there is something going on there instead of a parking lot, as what happened to the Molino Rojo club.

The adult entertainment business is evolving in TJ. It is far better now than twenty years ago. There are nicer clubs now and many times more gorgeous woman to chose from. Bars that no longer can make money have closed or will soon close. The day of the "sleaze bar" is ending. The American style strip club is now starting to dominate. The other kind of club that has been on the rise in the last several years is the hooker bars with lots of gorgeous ladies such as AB and CC. These clubs were not the "hot ticket" years ago as they are today.

The changes in TJ entertaiment has been mostly to the good and it will be interesting to watch how it developes in the future.

"Good" is a subjective term. Some like the "Sleaze Bars" and have no need for the American style strip club.

I agree, TJ just seems to be getting better and better. The clubs are more upscale, witness the improvements to Chicago and the woman seem to get more and more gorgeous every night. The thing I do like about Hong Kong is that it is a good strip show and if you see a girl who turns you on, then forget the lap dance, just take her up to a hotel room for the real thing. It is awesome!!

Redongdo....I am one of those guys who still like the sleaze bars. I like them because they remind me of the old days in TJ. Most "newbies" don't like the sleazy bars as evident by the lack of business in those bars compared to AB, CC, and the American style strip clubs.

I agree that the word "good" is a very subjective term, especially in TJ. One can almost never say anything is good in TJ without others saying how bad they think it is. This is one of the many reasons TJ is an exciting place to go.

The problem is, once things get too "upscale", then they will want more money for everything...

It is the same thing that the American "tittie-bar" industry went thru in the 90's.

I remember I could get a "fullgrind", "full nude" lap dance for $5 a song in El Paso's Naked Harem in 1992. Then they started to "fix up" the old joint(an old Movie Theater), and the prices went up to $10. I went back in '98 and they had totally fixed it up, but the prices were up to $15 a dance! I wouldn't doubt that they are up to $20 now. Fuck that!

I remember in in 1990, in Southern Illinois, you could get full grinds for $3 a song, or $1 for 1/3 song! And you could easily arrange for extra curricular "hanky panky". When I went back in '94, there was no more "dollar dances", and prices were skyrocketing, along with the places being "upgraded".

Arizona's Tucson and Phoenix clubs are even worse(that is why those fuckers pay so much in Nogales, too).

The same shit happened in San Diego(not that we really ever had it that good). Dirty Dan's dives become "Pure Platinum"... but, there WAS one last good holdout sleaze bar in Lemon Grove, but it mysteriously "burned down" in about '95, and was reborn as an upscale joint, along with SUPER high prices. That was when I started to "look South" again, and rediscovered TJ.

I wouldn't mind if they would just keep these places looking halfway decent and clean(Adelita has the right formula), but when they go the "whole Enchilada" it really fucks things up. When they do a full upgrade, they invariably start charging more money to "warrant the upgrade". Look at Manhattan, El Pollo, and Hong Kong - it may have worked for a little bit, but eventually these places tanked and became "glitzy ghosttowns".

Most whorehounds that go to TJ are cheap bastards - they don't want to pay for "glitz". They are there to get laid by a nice looking chick for a decent price.

I've noticed that since the Chicago Club upgrade, there are more Orientals in Adelita, haven't you? I expect that we'll see Chicago Club start to deteriorate into another Molino Rojo in about 5 years.

This leads to the other problem... once a place starts the downhill slide, they eventually turn into dives with gross bathrooms and gross old whores.

Tropical seems to be a decent enough place(not too much glitz, not too much grime), but they have a limited amount of beer selection available... this is ANOTHER reason why no other bar can compete with Adelita - it is the ONLY bar that offers beer from both of the two major beer manufacturers(I can't STAND that Tecate shit, and I've heard others that say the same of the competing Corona/Pacifico).

It is cool to think that one could find something better in the other non-Adelita bars, and maybe you can if you drink Tecate... but for Pacifico drinkers - you are fucked. Now, if Manhattan would just lower their prices a little bit, they would be A-OK for me - but I don't think they really want to get a lot of business(it must just be a cover to launder drug monies)... it would be too much of a hassle for them to run a legitimate business.

Diego......Nice analysis of the TJ club situation. I think you are right about places being too nice is a problem. Adelita's does seem to have the right combination. Making it upscale would ruin it. Our expectations of TJ are of a little sleaze. If things are going to be upscale then we might as well stay in the states.

Have any of you tried the booth experience at HK? Is it purely of the lapdance variety, or is there the opportunity (and room) for more? Prices?

I tried it last week for the first time with the fetching Gabby. It's $12 for one dance and $20 for two. The HK girls are hotties right now and the $20 deal is a bargain...with the long song lengths, you can be in there close to 15 minutes. My "dances" with Gabby were zipped up but otherwise very high mileage and there were times that I was struggling not to lose control. I probably would have lost it if the booths weren't so damn uncomfortable. You sit on a hard bench with your back straight up against the wall. You will find that it is not a position that promotes the best possible outcome. [Sidebar: This innocent looking young Gabby apparently likes it rough! She basically encouraged me to absolutely brutalize her lovely chichis ]

All or most of these HK dancers will go to the Cascadas Hotel with you, so you can negotiate that when you get with them. HK right now has got alot going for it but also many problems...poorly thought out schemes (DUH!). One of the dumbass things they've got going now is their attempt to have you negotiate hotel session prices through a third party...i.e. the waitress who aggressively hawks the lap dance tickets. It is not always easy to encounter the HK girls one on one unless you do lap dances with them. Many of them are floating into Miami or into a dancer's lounge after they perform, rather than blend into the HK bar population. In my case, the waitress actually went and fetched Gabby out of the alley where she was relaxing between sets.

Anyhow, problems aside, I definitely recommend the lap dances. They are excellent foreplay and will give you a better read on your sexual chemistry with a potential bedmate than buying drinks for her.
