I finally got to this place in Playas last night about 9:30,it was crowded and got more so shortly. I had an agenda and that was to meet and get phone numbers from non-working chica's.

The chica's here are outstanding looking in dress and looks, thats the good part, the bad part for me was they were so young, mostly 20's something, the age group I get along with the least. They are in groups and I tried speaking with several chica's. Got shot down twice, they wouldn't let me buy them a drink, although they were nice in declining. Finally penetrated one group of 5 really good looking ones and one was receptive. I talked to her for half an hour, very nice school teacher. She was curious as to why a lone American with limited Spanish language skills was there. I told her I like Mexican women.
She declined to give me her number in the end, saying she was married.

If you go, be prepared, you need some Spanish, dress well, I always do and expect to be rejected. This place is like any bar in the states that caters to people of this age. I will try to find somewhere else with older women. I was very polite and charming and considering the obstacles I had to overcome it was amazing I got as far as I did. I may go back one more time just to see if she is there again, she asked me a lot of questions and kept up her end of the conversation, I found her engaging, and I'd like to believe she is not married just needing more work. Wishful thinking on my part. I'm mid-forties
look mid 30's. I saw no one even close to my age.

i have been here a few times
and this is the hardest place to pick up girls.
i have been here 3 times , 2 times with dates and 1 time alone.
girls who come here have pesos and most have good jobs ,
girls come here to party and have a good time , there is a singles night or ladies night.
was it last night ?
the only drawback to this place that i did not like is every girl smokes here , every damm one !!! (that is a turn off for me - sorry .)

and the bill and the end of the night( cheaper to party in las vegas in the high rollers lounge )


i would go to this place more often but it is a little out of the way

but a nice place - if you do go on ladies night , dont go alone but bring some friends , it will be easier to score.

I went to Teatro on Sunday and it was absolutely dead. What are good nights where and when does it start to fill? I was there at 9.30 and only 2 other customers in the whole place!

Maybe Saturday and it definatley used to be Wednesday but I think Cinque is taking over for Wednesdays.

This last Wed. it was starting to get crowded around 9 or 9:30 and by 10:30 it was packed. Wed is ladies night.

Cinque dies pretty fast, around 1-2am everyone seems to leave this place while it's still very packed in Monte Picacho.

I hit this place again Wed,Aug 8th. Here is what happened. I showed up at 9:30 Wed,ladies night, security guard wouldn't let me in cause I was wearing cowboy boots, although I had a sport coat and slacks, didn't matter. I asked to speak to a manager, but after a couple of minutes realized maybe a better ploy. I turned around and as young people were streaming past me to go in I produced a 5 dollar bill from my wallet. I hid it in my palm and discreetly showed it to the guard, he smiled and said no, then as I turned to leave he said ok, give it to me.
Once inside standing at the waiters station I tried talking to a gorgeous blonde who was with a friend and standing right next to me. I said, " hola, habla usted ingles?" " "NO" was the CURT reply. Anyway, as chica's came to or near the station I tried again and again until one finally engaged me in conversation. We talked as best we could for over an hour, she didn't speak English. She is a student in Guadalajara at home on vacation, 22 years old, pretty...bla bla bla , I asked her to lunch, she gave me her phone # and e-mail address, I wrote and called. We met Monday at Saverio's. She showed and looked good all dolled up. I always carry a pad and pen and in the resturant I produced it so she could write something as we sat down. As I reached into my pocket and pulled it out, something else came flying out as well and fell right there on the floor in the middle of the resturant..... a condem, very embarrassing. It was flavored so I hope she didn't realize what it was, but I think she probably did as I felt my face turn a crimson red color. Lunch was fun, but a lot of work, I had a hellva time understanding a lot of what she said and vice-versa. In the parking lot I asked her out, maybe for Friday, but in truth it is going to be to much work, I kissed her, but she turned her head, so fuck this. She seemed pretty straight laced and told me she goes back to school in Sept. She volunteerd that she had no novia cause school took all her time. Anyway, I took a swipe at it, she is to young for me I will try again in a week or so, this time Ochaos, or somewhere , I need someone a little older, in thier 30's or more sophisticated or someone into sex, this girl wasn't.

Thanks,DJ,plays both Mexican and American music, it gets so crowded in there past 10 p.m that if there were a fire everyone would die. You can't even walk to the bano. Chica's are young and really stuck up or actually just very immature. I laughed my ass off at the blonde that blew me off cause she ended up talking to the chica I met and THEN she got friendly with me, figuring it was safe, WRONG! I ignored her, it was to late. Do they use the big screen for porno?? LOL. DUDE, this is a regular bar, my guess is half the chica's in this place are virgins, most look like they are 15 years old, although they aren't.

The bitchin part about places like this are I went between sessions in the zona, no pressure to score and no worry about blue balls on the way home. If I get a number great, if not then fuck the little bitches, back to the zona. Nothing to lose is a great way to live. No cover charge.

Hey SakeBomb, when you said about the big pull down screen, I have to say that one time I went to Rodeo De media Noche, they put on a porno for a few minutes, it was great.

As for Senor Frogs, well it's not such a good place as I remember it used to be years back. I think they still have this, not sure because I haven't gone there is awhile now but they have a day when it's all you can eat/drink Tacos/Beer/Tequila which was pretty good.

That place is not sanitized of working girls/putas. From both times I was there, I saw the two escort girls who we used for our group at the Grand Hotel, the other times I saw a total of 5 chicks working at AB&CC. They were the chicks who I knew/recognized. I'm sure there might be some "discreet" ones w/i the patrons.

Frogs is still gooood on Thurs night, ladies night. Las Pulgas is always a putas galore.

I personally much prefer Boomerangs over Teatro. The music is better, and the people are more relaxed. It is also a good place to watch football games on Sundays, as the owners are big time Charger fans (poor fucks)

I have been there so many times...The first night in the bar with music, distraction, beer and dancing is easy...the second date is where the true art of dating begins...Thats why, if at all possible I try to have sex the first night, and at best drag the girl back to SD (has worked only twice in all my time in TJ ).

I haven't checked it out but according to a radio station I think it was 107.3 Thursday nights el Teatro has the dj spinning brazilian music.

Went there last Wednesday, ladiesnight. Music was Techno, not my thing. Packed with hot chicas, I was with my lady (stupid) and can't say how easy it is to pick up. Outside on the patio it is much quieter, so a pick-up conversation should be better there. Beer is 30, the Teqilla of my novia 45.

Milkman, I haven't been to El Rodeo since "El as de la Sierra" was there and the music they played well Banda, and later on like at 12-1 I believe they started playing Techno music. I don't know if thats how it is now but that how it was.

Milkman, try Rodeo media noche on a thursday. I believe it is still ladies night then. It is like a large upscale las pulgas. Lots of women and pretty easy to meet. Banda music and live rodeo at 12:30am. Turns into dance music afterwards. I have seen several AB girls there, just having fun and looking to meet guys (non working). Everyone needs to experience the rodeo, nothing like it in any bar i have ever seen. The place is like a country western baby rock, but it is easy to meet the women. Try it out and let me know how you enjoy the place.

its funny how one place is so different than another---- back in boston if you dress like a cowboy - you are either considered a loser or dork and will be ridiculed all over the place yet in mexico chix's love this look.

milkman, you have the right place. It is in Pueblo Amigo and has the blue lights that run the top of the building. It is a nice club. They used to have a mechanical bull you could ride for $1. The dress is country western generally. I have gone with jeans and polo shirt, always felt comfortable. The girls are very approachable. I would go on Thursday. Make sure you see the bull riding. It is amazing that a bar has a live bull ring in it. There will be techno when the band takes a break and later in the evening. The place is fun to go to, hefty cover when live entertainment. It is a country western Baby Rock. It is very large and open. On thursday Pueblo Amigo is very active with Senor Frogs and Zooll. (www.zooll.com) Have a great time!

it is hard to find info on most from other posters since most only go to the zona.
when i first moved to san deigo i thought that the zona was the place to go ,
i was wrong there is so much more to see and with all the hot chicas that are available why pay when you can get these hot chicas for free.

The only place I can think of that has Banda/cumbia music is the place on the corner next to Baby Rock and across from the kids amusement park. I can't remember the name. On the outside, it looks like a restaurant, but on the inside it has a band and lounge area. Usually active late at night (from 11pm to 2am). The crowd is mixed and about 35yr ave. It is a nice place to relax and have a beer. You can also try Como Que No. It has a similiar group. I tend to prefer the more current spots. They, however, can change easily. My understanding is that Senor Frogs is the place to be on Thurs(used to be Mocajetes), La Valentina on Friday, and Baby Rock on Saturday. I used to go to Cats on Weds, which was awesome. I have not been in quite awhile, but it was the best disco in TJ. fyi, the owner of Las Pulgas also owns Cats. If you have not been to Saverios, you should try the bar there on Thurs. (it is the best restaurant in TJ)

Went to Teatro a few times over the last weeks. Great place to take a chica and friends. Stay away from the food, drinks are as expensive as Plaza Fiesta, but it is a great place to hang out on the patio over-looking the beach. I never went alone, but many chicas party here with their friends and since the noise is less than in Plaza Fiesta one can easily talk to them, however speaking Spanish is a must at the place.
Compared to Plaza Fiesta it is less smoky and loud, especially outside.
Sunday: closed, Wednesday: Ladies night.

I have been here a few times all with dates and yes it can be one of the most expensive places to entertain next to Babyrock.
The most i spent here was just for a few hours with 2 girls and my friend and the bill was like $ 100 fucks !!!
We ate and had a bunch of dwinks.
