Dazed - unless there has been a new development in the last 365 days that im not aware of, there is *no* blood test nor any other type of screening that can detect HPV in men. The focus is and always has been on women, and the only test available for them is an "after the fact" test known as the Pap Smear. Abnormalities found there are used to diagnose HPV (if there are no warts), and this is after the virus has caused changes enough to show up as an abnormal Pap.

Could you provide some links to some health sites that show us where they have developed a test which detects HPV in men that can be obtained today? If its true, this is a huge step forward. They weren't even focusing on men a year ago since its largely inconsequential for them.

By the way guys - if you want to keep yourself from getting any new strains (or your first strain!) of HPV, as well as herpes which is completely contagious even when there are no sores if she is in the prodrome phase (just before or just after an outbreak) then use your head and don't make any skin to skin contact down there. It's simple. It may take away from your ability to have a "girlfriend experience", but these aren't girlfriends, and you are risking quite a bit to make any skin to skin contact down there at all.
