Would any of you possibly know that if a puta gets something like gonnorhea or chlamydia, how long will she be "barred" from working in her club? Thanks.

If they don't pass they medical exam, and their health card is not stamped and signed by the health department, it is illegal for them to work. The manager of the bar checks their health card when they show up for work in order to check for an update. This, of course, does not guarantee that an infected woman will not be working, as a variety of circumstances and deceptions could allow an infected, actively diseased woman to work...but she would not be working legally, and could be subject to arrest and prosecution...and perhaps lose the right to receive a health card that permits her to work in a bar as a prostitute...

KRICO -- Please don't confuse Adelitas with other Zona bars. Believe me, there are many, MANY bars, where it doesn't matter whether you are even the right age or sex or disease status -- if you are ready, willing, and look able, they will find ways around the rules to allow you to work. AB is pretty militant about such things. Other bars...

Porker...
I agree - anything can happen in Mexico...maybe there should be a sub-topic here ...LPIM ("Legalized Prostitution In Mexico") as opposed to "anything goes" prostitution. I would assume that the two main bars in the Zona, CC and AB, try their darndest to adhere to the codes pertaining to prostitution in that fine city...at least that's the impression I get when I see the 'tutes gettin' their health cards checked at the door before they are allowed access, etc...

Sorry, but from what I have read here, reports have not been good on the CC girls having up to date health cards, and the infrequent raids supposedly catch them scurrying for the door like cucarachas in the light. At AB, you are right, they inspect them at the door and are very diligent. But please keep in mind that this doesn't get into the issue of faked health cards. It is a bit of a safety net and I am all for it, but the reality is that for every rule there is a way around it, and in the ZN, getting around ID and health card regs is big bidness.
I could get into some recent specifics re: bar sponsored ID fraud in some pretty popular bars, but I don't think anything good can come of broadcasting the fact that shady stuff is going on. I just want to caution any of you thinking that you are somehow being 'protected' by a Mexican administrative system. This ain't Kansas.

In the most recient 'Health Raid', CC was left with a dozen chicas with over 40 chicas being hauled off by the policia. CC ended up closing because there were not enough chicas left, and since most of the customers had left as well.
This just goes to show that CC is not all that strict about checking the Health Cards of las chicas.

This CC is lax, AB is strict theory takes me somewhat by surprise. A few weeks ago, a couple of CC girls worked at AB for a few days because they did not have up-to-date health cards. The only explanation I can think of is that there had just been a raid and CC had to be particularly careful. Either that, or they had fake health cards that would work at AB, but not at CC, where the managers already knew them.

I got a question, they get frisked for the day but don't they come back the next day clean as a whistle which would mean that health card thing is useless.

Strikeeagle, that is a stunning report of a gigantic turnabout from what I've observed in the past. Last time I was present for a health card inspection at CC, only 1 chica was out of compliance on a very busy night - that was a few months ago. I've been in TJ much more frequently over the last few months than my normal pattern over the years, and somehow I'm running into fewer health card checks at CC. Your report is a clear indication that the inspections are less frequent and the ladies are starting to take the situation for granted.
BTW, I have NEVER observed a health card inspection at AB (only gun/drug inspections of the chicos)!!

I've seen the inspections at AB on several occasions. Also at CC, Old HK, and several Revoulucion bars. They are carried out by guys with SMM on their jackets. This is for Servicios Medicales Municipios (or some such). There's usually only 2 or 3 of the guys and they don't disrupt the whole place like the policia searches.
From my understanding, if a girl is caught out of compliance, she will be fined substancially and out of work for awhile. If a bar knowingly allows such girls to work, it will be shut down for a day or two.

"If a bar knowingly allows such girls to work"
How do you prove that south of the border?
Never seen AB or CC closed, I've been going over 100 times a year.

Exactly, very hard to prove and easy to bribe around for the bar.
